‘Stay Tuned’: Uma Thurman Declares #MeToo, Posts Ominous Message About Sexual Assault In Hollywood

By  Amanda Prestigiacomo

On Thanksgiving day, actress Uma Thurman posted an ominous message about the massive sexual misconduct scandal consuming Hollywood — “stay tuned,” she cryptically wrote in a social media post. The “Kill Bill” star also took an explicit swing at alleged sexual harasser producer Harvey Weinstein, whom Thurman has worked with in the past.

“I said I was angry recently, and I have a few reasons, #metoo, in case you couldn’t tell by the look on my face,” wrote Thurman via Instagram.

Earlier this month, Thurman made headlines when she told a reporter she was too “angry” to give a take on the #MeToo movement, but would sound-off when she cools down.

“I don’t have a tidy soundbite for you, because I’ve learned I am a not a child, and I’ve learned that when I’ve spoken in anger I usually regret the way I express myself, so I’ve been waiting to feel less anger. And when I am ready, I’ll say what I have to say,” the stoic actress told a reporter (video below).

Thurman’s Instagram post continued along this theme, but added an overt jab at Weinstein: “I feel it’s important to take your time, be fair, be exact, so… Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators – I’m glad it’s going slowly – you don’t deserve a bullet).”

Thurman added, “stay tuned.”

Weinstein has been hit with now over 50 accusations of sexual misconduct, including even rape, by women in the entrainment industry. He has been ousted from The Weinstein Co. and blacklisted, for the time being, from Hollywood. The 65-year-old Democratic mega-donor has apologized for his past behavior but maintains he’s never participated in non-consensual sex.
