Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles picked a fight with former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines on Friday — over a boy who led his high school&#8217;s girls&#8217; softball team to a state championship — but it was Gaines who stuck the landing.
Gaines raised the topic by sharing a photo of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/boy-pitches-complete-game-shutout-to-win-girls-softball-championship">championship team</a>, noting that the Minnesota State High School League had turned off the comments feature on the post: &#8220;To be expected when your star player is a boy.&#8221;

Biles went on the attack then, delivering personal insults and saying, &#8220;You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead … You bully them … One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!&#8221;

But it didn&#8217;t end there. Biles tried another avenue, this time resorting to insults aimed at Gaines&#8217; physical appearance.
&#8220;Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male,&#8221; she said.
Gaines repeated, &#8220;This is so disappointing. My take is the least controversial take on the planet. Simone Biles being a male-apologist at the expense of young girls’ dreams? Didn’t have that on my bingo card. Maybe she could compete in pommel horse and rings in 2028.&#8221;
