‘She’s A Piece Of S***’: Claire McCaskill And Missouri Democrat Trade Insults

By  Ashe Schow

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) is struggling in her re-election bid, and is now lashing out at members of her own party in a show of desperation.

McCaskill made headlines last week when her campaign released an ad claiming she’s not “one of those crazy Democrats,” without mentioning those Democrats by name. On Monday, McCaskill was pressed by Fox News’ Bret Baier to name some of those “crazy Democrats.” McCaskill at first offered only descriptions of the crazies, including those who scream at Republicans in restaurants and “a state senator here in Missouri that actually advocated for the assassination of President Trump.” When pressed further, McCaskill mentioned Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (S-VT), but did not name the Missouri state senator.

That state senator is Maria Chappelle-Nadal, who in 2017 said she hoped President Donald “Trump is assassinated!” She followed that up a couple months later by comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler.

But Chappelle-Nadal did not take too kindly to McCaskill calling her a “crazy Democrat.”

Earlier this week, the state senator called McCaskill “a piece of s***,” and “Dixie Claire,” and compared her to a slave owner.

“Claire McCaskill is desperate. She’s a piece of s***,” one of Chappelle-Nadal’s tweets read. “Instead of knowing why people of color are angered by this administration, she chooses to put us & our families in harm’s way. If my family is harmed, blame it on Claire McCaskill. She deserves to lose. She is not a Democrat.”

She followed this tweet up by claiming McCaskill “and her racist democratic friends continue to alienate the base.”

In another tweet, Chappelle-Nadal claimed her family was in danger because of “Dixie Claire.”

Between these tweets, Chappelle-Nadal retweeted those who agreed with her, and quote-tweeted those who responded with racism.

In a tweet sent Tuesday night, Chappelle-Nadal called McCaskill one of “our enemies” and said she would pray for her.

Chappelle-Nadal also retweeted The Daily Caller and its reporter Peter Hasson, who first wrote about the feud with McCaskill.

“Missouri’s term limits for state legislators prevent Chappelle-Nadal from running for re-election as a state senator, so she is running for the state’s House of Representatives,” Hasson wrote. “She won her primary in August and is running unopposed in the general election.”
