Social media is losing its mind after Kim Kardashian posted a 30-second video of her doing an advertisement for a plant-based food company called Beyond Meat in which she never actually appears to eat any of the food she encourages others to buy.
The 41-year-old reality star shared the ad on Instagram Tuesday for the vegan company (she’s been named as its Chief Taste Consultant). In the video, the reality star shows off the variety of food items, combined with close-up shots of the food and her chewing. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed there did not appear to be a moment where the Kardashian actually takes a bit of the food and eats it.
She captioned her post, “I’m so inspired by @beyondmeat’s mission and excited to share their delicious plant-based products with all of you as their Chief Taste Consultant.”

The clip, which can be seen above, opens with a shot of a covered silver platter being placed in front of the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star, showing off a burger and fries. The reality star is then shown holding a burger that’s been cut in half as she throws her head back appearing to be chewing and enjoying something.
We then see a close-up shot of a meatball on a fork as she holds it up but never takes a bite. This happened several more times, with Kim either above food or holding food up to her mouth, but again never actually taking a bite and allowing the audience to see her eating the food.
And it is fair to say social media noticed, with a stream of comments on the Instagram post mocking her for not eating the product, saying that they won’t be purchasing it if she isn’t actually consuming it, and more, reported Page Six.
“She didn’t even take a bite of the burger,” one person commented, while another wrote, “The hamburger wasn’t bitten.”
“You didn’t show her actually consuming the product… Did she actually eat it?” another shared.
“I ain’t buying it cause you ain’t really eating it,” a person wrote with a laughing emoji.
The jokes kept coming with comments like, “Fake eating… I see you,” “You didn’t even eat the food,” and “This is beyoooond meat, so good you don’t even have to eat it.”
“She didn’t even eat the product! This is hilarious,” another shared.
The reality star has yet to respond to the comments.
