A university that refused to listen to the exculpatory evidence of a student accused of sexual assault was just ordered to pay that accused student more than $60,000 in attorney’s fees.

The College Fix reported that the judgment came nearly a year after the male student and the University of Connecticut said they had reached a settlement to end the legal dispute. U.S. District Judge Michael Shea ordered UConn to pay the male student, referred to in legal documents as John Doe, $60,160 in attorney’s fees plus an additional $3,035 since he was the “prevailing party.”
