So, how did we get to the point where 40% of Britons think that sex with a robot does not constitute cheating and where Germans are now frequenting sex doll brothels?
According to a sex doll maker, porn was the spark that paved the way for the horizon of sex dolls, which will soon yield to the popularity of sexbots.
The creator, who identifies only as “Brent,” spoke with Ron Johnson on his podcast “The Butterfly Effect,” crediting porn for the success of his sex doll company.
“Part of the success for our company has been the overuse of pornography,” he said.
The reason for this is obvious: porn creates unrealistic expectations for a woman, which can only be met by the robotic dolls that flow from Brent’s company 1amdollUSA, instead.
“I’ve had a couple of customers who have said, ‘I go to the bar and take a girl home at 3 a.m. and she’s a little fatter than I’d like her to be or she’s not as cute,’” said Brent. “So they turn to the doll.”
Speaking of porn, last month at the “adult entertainment expo” convention in Las Vegas, the likenesses of porn stars are being molded into the form of sex dolls, according to LifeSiteNews.
The sexbot trade has simultaneously been booming, and while those certainly degrade women, advancements have been made into creating male counterparts as well. One feminist at Bloomberg even welcomed this new horizon.
Currently, the most advanced sexbot in the world is the robot “Harmony” of realbotix, which comes with an artificial intelligence designed to mimic behavior, including jealousy.
Lawmakers in several states have been pushing to regulate porn as a public health crisis.
