Senate SMACKS Elizabeth Warren for Crossing the Line in Sessions Criticism

By a 49 to 43 vote, the Senate voted on Tuesday to censor Elizabeth Warren after she broke a rule by impugning a fellow senator, Alabama Sen Jeff Sessions, during his confirmation hearing. Warren has now lost her privileges to speak during Sessions’ confirmation debate.

The Senate’s rebuke of the far-left Massachusetts Democrat came in response to her race-baiting tactics aimed at Sessions. Warren pulled out a 30-year-old letter written by Martin Luther King Jr.’s widow Coretta Scott King opposing his nomination for federal judge claiming he had tried to suppress the black vote.

“Mr. Sessions has used the awesome power of his office to chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens in the district he now seeks to serve as a federal judge,” read Warren during the debate over Sessions’ nomination.

It was a classless impugning of a fellow Senator was a clear breach of protocol, so Senate Republicans did the right thing and censored her, voting that she had voided her ability to ask questions during the debate over Sessions.

“She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said of Warren.

After the vote, Warren took to Twitter to make sure everyone knew she had just been the victim of the bully Republicans and issue more race-baiting and unfair claims about Sessions.

“I will not be silent about a nominee for AG who has made derogatory & racist comments that have no place in our justice system,” she wrote.

She also took the opportunity to work in another jab at Trump, tweeting, “I will not be silent while the Republicans rubber stamp an AG who will never stand up to the @POTUS when he breaks the law.”

She then tried to portray herself as the mouthpiece of MLK, writing, “Tonight @SenateMajLdr silenced Mrs King’s voice on the Sen floor – & millions who are afraid & appalled by what’s happening in our country.”

The least trusted name in news, CNN, is trying to spin the “silencing” of Warren as a win for the far-left senator, declaring that the Republicans “just handed the liberal firebrand a megaphone — further elevating President Donald Trump’s fiercest and most prominent critic in the Senate and turning her into a Democratic hero.”

CNN also gave her ample time to try to make political hay of her censorship, host Don Lemon inviting her on so she could portray herself as the defiant voice of opposition to the evil Trump regime and his Republican goons. “They can shut me up, but they can’t change the truth,” Warren told CNN’s shrinking audience.

NBC News also got in on the hyping-Warren action with a splashy headline: “Warren Silenced for Reading Coretta Scott King Letter at Sessions Debate.”

While the establishment media celebrates what they’re hoping will be the apotheosis of the ultra-lefty Senator, Americans are still reeling over that incredible final few minutes of the Super Bowl.
