Tragically, the Black Lives Matter movement has been a disaster for the black community, driving up crime and murder within the community it purports to protect by creating an atmosphere where officers are disengaged out of fear. The palpable anti-police sentiment has also put officers’ — be they black, white, brown or purple — lives at heightened risk. And now, the movement, formed in response to the notorious “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” lie, is continuing its erosion of society by advocating for and participating in racial segregation, banishing whites and other non-blacks from meetings and parties.
The New York City chapter of Black Lives Matter hosted a blacks-only party over the Memorial Day weekend, reports The Daily Caller. “Black Lives Matter NYC, the Black Youth Project 100 and the Black Alliance for Just Immigration joined together to throw ‘The People’s Turn-up,’ or what they called an ‘unapologetically black’ party.”
“Clear your calendar – It’s a lituation! You’re invited to take part in the UNAPOLOGETICALLY Black festivities. Bring yourself, bring Bae (or come find Bae), whatever you like. We got you. We got us,” reads the event posted to Facebook.
It was explicitly reiterated that only black folks were allowed to attend.
“When we say ‘The People’ we mean Black People. Being intentional around being around Black People is an act of resistance.This is an exclusively Black Space. So if you do not identify as Black and want to come because you love Black People, please respect the space and do not come,” wrote one organizer on the event page.
“Organizers also said the party was an ‘intentional space’ where violence, fatphobia, sexism, toxic masculinity and transphobia were not permitted,” notes The DC.
But this is not extraordinary by any means; segregation is all the rage for Black Lives Matter groups.
In April, Black Lives Matter Philly banished non-blacks from meetings.
“If you identify as a person of the African Diaspora You can attend our meetings and become a member. If not you can support us in other ways,” said the Philadelphia chapter of the movement in a tweet. The group reiterated their meetings were closed off to white allies.
Going international, a Black Lives Matter group from Toronto “publicly refused to sell a t-shirt to a hopeful supporter because he is white. In the words of the leftist organization, he is not a member of ‘black-identified folks.'”
Taking a cue from Black Lives Matter, there have been accounts of blacks-only events on college campuses, too. For instance, at Harvard University, black students organized their own graduation ceremony which excluded non-blacks.
We’ve now hit full-regression, where fighting for “equality” means we segregate from one another due to the superficiality of the color of our skin. Black Lives Matter is fighting alleged racism by engaging in the textbook definition of racism, digging the trenches of racial division even deeper.
