More than 400 Canadian wildfires are worsening air conditions throughout much of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic United States — covering entire cities in a dense yellow haze and producing a hazardous environment for millions of Americans. 
These conditions are expected to last for the next few days, and a cold front could move the natural phenomenon ever further south as the week goes on, per <a href="https://edition.cnn.com/us/live-news/us-air-quality-canadian-wildfires-06-07-23/h_e1a588e47fc6d9c8ef1388399da56194" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a>. On social media, dozens of individuals posted photos and videos showing the bizarre scenes that have lasted from Tuesday evening into Wednesday afternoon.

Dr. Darrien Sutton, a medical doctor and ABC News contributor, advised Americans, particularly those in at-risk groups, to stay indoors. Sutton said Wednesday that the conditions in many areas are &#8220;not just unhealthy, they&#8217;re downright dangerous.&#8221; Sutton added that the air in places like the Big Apple posed risks &#8220;not just to those who have chronic lung disease or those who are elderly, but also to everyone.&#8221;
