<p>Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) suggested on Sunday evening that he might file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission over the fact that President Donald Trump&#8217;s &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; interview with Norah O&#8217;Donnell was edited for time.</p>
<p>Citing the lawsuit filed by Trump over a &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; interview of former Vice President Kamala Harris — just days before the 2024 presidential election — Schumer claimed that he could simply copy and paste the complaint from that lawsuit.</p>
<p>&#8220;Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview. It will use the exact same language Trump lodged against Vice President Harris,&#8221; Schumer posted via X.</p>

<p>The president&#8217;s rapid response team shot down Schumer&#8217;s claim, however, saying that the edits were not at all the same.</p>

<p>They and others quickly pointed out the fact that CBS had edited the Harris interview in order to make her sound less incoherent — and then had proceeded to slow-roll the release of the full transcript and unedited video. Trump&#8217;s interview, on the other hand, had been published in full along with the transcript on the day the interview aired.</p>

<p>FCC Chairman Brendan Carr flipped the script on Schumer, saying that as long as he and other Democrats insisted on voting to keep the federal government shut down, the FCC would not be able to address his complaint.</p>

But seriously, you should end the Schumer Shutdown-which is imposing real pain on American families-rather than nonsense posting. You should open the government, rather than using Americans&#8217; pain to pander to your far left flank,&#8221; Carr posted.</p>
