Because nothing is sacred and everything is sexist, starlet Scarlett Johansson agreed to seductively read passages from the Bible in the name of feminism.
USA Today reports that former SNL writer, Mike O’Brien, asked Johannsson to lend her voice to his new concept album, “Tasty Radio.”
Johansson signed on to seductively read passages from the book of Deuteronomy to expose its “misogynistic” messages.
“I wasn’t sure what the comedic take would be when I first became obsessed with Deuteronomy, but I knew a female should be delivering most of it because a lot of the quotes are very misogynistic and who wants to hear a guy make fun of that,” he told Rolling Stone. “I was so thrilled that Scarlett said she’d do it.”
For four, long, painful minutes Johansson reads the holy text as sexily as she can, taking pauses and releasing sighs to sex-up the sacred. Listen at your own peril (I don’t recommend it).
Two of the passages she desecrates include the following:
“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son…his father and mother shall bring him to the elders at the gate of his town…They shall say to the elders this son of ours is stubborn and rebellious…Then all the men of this town shall stone him to death.”
“When you go to war against your enemies and the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take, captives. If you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife…”
So let’s get this straight: We have a woman (Johansson), submitted to a men (O’Brien) by agreeing to sexualize herself to…stop misogyny? And it’s applauded within the mainstream media as hilarious, sexy and even brave. The Huffington Post literally published a piece about this mess called: Scarlett Johansson Reads Bible in Sexy Way, And Now We Worship Her.
Of course, to most religious people this is greatly offensive and disturbing, but the left that’s irrelevant. I mean, it’s not like she’s seductively reading passages from the Koran.
