<p>American actor Tom Sizemore, known for his role in &#8220;Saving Private Ryan,&#8221; was hospitalized Sunday after suffering a brain aneurysm.</p>
<p>Sizemore&#8217;s representative told media outlets that he suffered the injury in the early morning hours. He is in critical condition.</p>
<p>&#8220;He is in the hospital,&#8221; Sizemore&#8217;s representative Charles Lago told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/tom-sizemore-critical-condition-suffering-brain-aneurysm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a>. &#8220;His family is aware of the situation and are hoping for the best. It is too early to know about [a] recovery situation as he is in critical condition and under observation.&#8221;</p>
<p>Lago told <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/02/19/tom-sizemore-aneurysm-actor-critical-hospital/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> that Sizemore was at his home in Los Angeles at around 2 a.m. when he suddenly collapsed unconscious. Someone in the home found him and called 911. Paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Lago said that the actor was in a &#8220;bad way,&#8221; and that the possibility of a full recovery is uncertain.</p>
<p>The actor starred in a number of high-profile movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly war films.</p>
<p>He also played an unnamed Vietnam War veteran in Oliver Stone&#8217;s 1989 war film &#8220;Born on the Fourth of July,&#8221; a DEA Agent in 1991&#8217;s &#8220;Point Break,&#8221; Bat Masterson in the 1994 Western &#8220;Wyatt Earp,&#8221; and had a supporting role in 1995&#8217;s &#8220;Heat.&#8221;</p>
<p>In 1998, Sizemore starred as Technical Sergeant Mike Horvath in Steven Spielberg&#8217;s World War II epic &#8220;Saving Private Ryan.&#8221; He went on to star in two more war films in 2001, Michael Bay&#8217;s &#8220;Pearl Harbor&#8221; and Ridley Scott&#8217;s &#8220;Black Hawk Down.&#8221;</p>
<p>Sizemore has had a complicated personal life, including run-ins with law enforcement and a continual drug habit. He was married to soap opera star Maeve Quinlan from 1996-1999, but they divorced because of his drug issues. He has two children with another woman, twin sons Jagger and Jayden.</p>
<p>In 2017, <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/tom-sizemore-was-removed-movie-set-allegedly-violating-11-year-old-girl-1057629/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Hollywood Reporter</a> claimed that Sizemore was kicked off the set of the film &#8220;Born Killers&#8221; in 2003 for allegedly molesting a child actress. The actress filed suit against him in 2018, but it was thrown out in 2020. Sizemore was also questioned by police in <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1386372/Tom-Sizemore-questioned-police-missing-girlfriend.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2011</a> after his then-girlfriend went missing.</p>
<p>Sizemore talked about his drug abuse and recovery in a 2021 interview with Fox News. &#8220;I’ve been trying to get sober since 1991,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It became really big news much later than that, but I was trying to stop. I’ve had a problem for a long time. I had periods, long periods, of sobriety and I would end up relapsing.&#8221;</p>

If I wanted to reach a nice and pleasant old age, I had to stop. And if I wanted to watch my kids grow up, I needed to reach a place where I knew it was over.”</span></p>
