On the heels of TBS’ Samantha Bee calling First Daughter and White House advisor Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t,” has-been Kathy Griffin is getting in on the action by targeting First Lady Melania Trump.
On Sunday, Griffin, who famously posed in an ISIS-style photo with a bloody severed Trump head, reacted to the first lady’s statement on the current Southern border situation. “F**k you, Melanie,” she wrote, purposefully spelling the first lady’s name incorrectly. “You know damn well your husband can end this immediately…you feckless complicit piece of s**t.”
Griffin’s profanity-laced attack was posted as a quote-tweet to a statement put out by Melania’s office: “Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families & hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” reads the statement. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws but also a country that governs with heart.”
The unoriginal alleged funny woman was clearly taking a page from Bee, whom Griffin has previously come to the defense of. Earlier in the month, Griffin claimed it was Bee who was the real victim in Feckless C*** Gate and urged the “Full Frontal” star not to apologize for her sexist attack on Ivanka for her grave sin of posting a photo of herself embracing her two-year-old son.
Griffin and Bee’s outrage over the Southern border situation was oddly suppressed during the years of the Obama Administration. For example, the photos below were from 2014, when President Obama was in the White House, but wrongly attributed to the Trump administration by journalists online:
President Trump has said that he wants the longstanding border issue fixed, blaming Democrats for their refusal to come to the table for a real compromise. “Democrats can fix their forced family breakup at the Border by working with Republicans on new legislation, for a change!” he tweeted. “Democrats are good at only three things, High Taxes, High Crime and Obstruction.”
