<p>Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo talked about the importance of her and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey&#8217;s relationship being &#8220;faith based&#8221; and &#8220;rooted in God.&#8221;</p>
<p>In an interview with <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/olivia-culpo-relationship-nfl-star-christian-mccaffrey-rooted-in-god?utm_campaign=later-linkinbio-foxnews&amp;utm_content=later-31307526&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=linkin.bio">Fox News</a>, the 30-year-old model said it was the NFL star&#8217;s faith that caused her to break her own rule about never dating an athlete again. The two have been linked since 2019.</p>
<p>&#8220;The foundation of our relationship has always been God,&#8221; Culpo explained. &#8220;And I feel like when things are hard or when you&#8217;re both overwhelmed [and] there&#8217;s not a ton that you can give to each other, you can always rely on God.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;So I feel like if the foundation is there, if there&#8217;s a foundation of that in any relationship, it is incredibly helpful,&#8221; she added. &#8220;Sometimes you just need help with any relationship. … That&#8217;s not only like with friendships. It&#8217;s with everything. I think it&#8217;s important to be faith-based, truly.&#8221;</p>

<p>During the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model&#8217;s new reality TV series with her sisters, Sophia and Aurora, &#8220;The Culpo Sisters,&#8221; the former beauty pageant winner opened up about her dream of becoming a mom and starting a family, the outlet noted.</p>
<p>&#8220;I feel like I&#8217;ve always known that I wanted to have a big family because I came from a big family,&#8221; Culpo shared. &#8220;I feel like freezing your eggs is a very empowering move. It kind of puts you in control a little bit more. And I would recommend anybody doing it who wants to have kids and is maybe in their 30s and hasn’t had kids yet. I hope it could be more accessible for everyone.&#8221;</p>
<p>Culpo previously dated singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nick-jonas-and-priyanka-chopra-share-photo-of-new-baby-on-mothers-day-after-100-days-in-nicu">Nick Jonas</a> from 2013-2015, <a href="https://www.etonline.com/olivia-culpo-recalls-nick-jonas-romance-my-whole-identity-was-in-him-194076">Entertainment Tonight</a> noted. She also dated several well-known athletes, including former NFL players <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tim-tebow">Tim Tebow</a> and Danny Amendola.</p>
<p>The model spoke to ET about those past romances.</p>
<p>&#8220;You see things about yourself that you need to work on,&#8221; Culpo shared. &#8220;It really requires you to turn inward in a weird way, and, of course, when they fail, it&#8217;s on a whole other level. So I feel like I learned a lot about myself in every single hiccup in life and with every single person that involved. So you can only be grateful of those types of experiences.&#8221;</p>
