<p>Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said Tuesday that he&#8217;d like to meet the 29% of Americans who believe, according to a recent poll, that the United States was heading in the right direction under President Joe Biden&#8217;s leadership.</p>
<p>Jordan joined Fox News host Martha MacCallum to discuss the <a href="https://video.foxnews.com/v/6283442817001#sp=show-clips">state of the economy</a> and the dramatic inflation that is set to make upcoming <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/bidens-inflation-farm-bureau-says-thanksgiving-dinner-will-cost-14-more-this-year/">Thanksgiving gatherings</a> — and the entire holiday season — more expensive for all Americans.</p>
<p>MacCallum introduced Jordan just as she wrapped up an interview with a small-business owner who said that, in addition to paying the higher prices this year, he had been ordered his Thanksgiving turkeys in April to ensure that they would be available for his customers when they came in to buy their supplies.</p>
<p>&#8220;When you listen to this hard-working business owner, and you look at the increase in prices for Thanksgiving and all of this and what families are going through right now, what goes through your mind?&#8221; MacCallum asked Jordan.</p>
<p>&#8220;In Joe Biden’s America, everything costs more. You want a home, costs more. Rent an apartment, costs more. Gas in your car costs more. Thanksgiving Turkey, Christmas presents. Everything costs more,&#8221; Jordan replied, going on to say that inflation was at a 31-year high.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Democrats’ economic plan is the dumbest in history. Lockdown the economy. Spend like crazy. Pay people not to work. And then for everyone who is working, oh, they’re getting ready to raise your taxes,&#8221; he continued referencing an <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/meet-the-press/biden-s-job-rating-sinks-42-percent-nbc-news-poll-n1282781">NBC poll</a> published on October 31. &#8220;Americans get it. And that’s why 71% of the country — unfortunately it’s a tough situation — but 71% of the country understands that we’re on the wrong track. The truth is, I’d like to meet the 29% that think we’re on the right track &#8230; Everyone knows we’re not. It’s driven by the ridiculous policies of America’s left that now control the Democratic Party.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;It’s no surprise that the president disagrees with you on that,&#8221; MacCallum commented, rolling tape of Biden&#8217;s comments on inflation and supply issues.</p>
<p>&#8220;So all of these concerns a few weeks ago, there wouldn’t be ample food for Thanksgiving, so many people talked about that, understandably. But families can rest easy. Grocery stores are well-stocked with everything else you need for Thanksgiving. The major retailers have confirmed that their shelves will be well-stocked in stores this holiday season,&#8221; Biden said.</p>
<p>&#8220;He says it’s going to be okay, Jim,&#8221; MacCallum prompted.</p>
<p>&#8220;Well, Martha, when you have the spectacle of the President of the United States going out and saying — trumpeting the fact that there’s merchandise to purchase in the stores, my whole life there’s always been stuff to buy in stores and retail outlets. That is crazy. So that’s how ridiculous it’s gotten when you have to brag about the fact there are things to actually buy. He’s not highlighting the fact that we have record inflation,&#8221; Jordan continued.</p>
<p>Jordan then pivoted to address Biden&#8217;s agenda, noting that the president had promised his <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/top-democrat-economist-warns-of-biden-inflation-hard-to-put-out-fire-without-doing-a-lot-of-damage/">Build Back Better</a> plan would help to ease inflation.</p>
<p>&#8220;There is not a rational, sane person on the planet who believes that statement. For the President of the United States to make that statement and turn around a few weeks later and brag that there’s actually things to buy? For goodness sake, drive by any car dealership in this country. I’ve never seen it where the car dealership doesn’t have cars on the lot.  This is Joe Biden’s America,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>Jordan went on to address the skyrocketing gas prices, blaming the Biden administration for shutting down the <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/keystone-pipeline-dead-killed-by-biden-thousands-of-jobs-lost/">Keystone XL pipeline</a> and hampering domestic production to the point that the United States is no longer a net exporter of oil and natural gas.</p>
<p>&#8220;This is ridiculous and the American people see through the crazy statements made by unfortunately the president of our country,&#8221; he said.</p>
