<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Wednesday, President Donald Trump’s envoy for special missions Ric Grenell condemned Broadway star Patti LuPone for giving &#8220;comfort to the crazies&#8221; with recent anti-Trump comments.</span></p>
<p>The New Yorker earlier this week published an <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2025/06/02/patti-lupone-profile"><span style="font-weight: 400;">interview</span></a> in which the &#8220;Evita&#8221; star said that <span style="font-weight: 400;">the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts “should get blown up&#8221; now that Trump and Grenell have taken over.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“We should have every Democrat, every left-leaning person condemning what she said,” Grenell </span><a href="https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/patti-lupone-richard-grenell-kennedy-center/2025/05/28/id/1212738/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">told</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Newsmax on Wednesday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Do I actually believe Patti Lupone is going to build a bomb and throw it inside the Kennedy Center? No, I don&#8217;t believe that. However, she is giving aid and comfort to the crazies.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He then warned of the potentially dangerous influence the actress’ remarks could have.</span></p>
