REPORT: NBA Set To Ban Kanye West’s Sneakers Over A ‘Design Flaw’

The NBA is reportedly looking to ban Kanye West’s trademark sneakers from the basketball court over what they say is a glaring design flaw — but is it really over Kanye West’s controversial statements about political unity?

According to ABC News, the NBA “will likely ban Kanye West’s highly anticipated Adidas basketball sneaker this season due to the shoe’s design, ESPN reported Monday.”

Athletes sponsored by Adidas were expected to wear the Yeezy-branded sneakers in 2018-2019 season, but NBA officials now say they will not be approved without a redesign. They assert that arena and home audiences will be distracted by the shoe’s “gleaming reflective heels.”

Ironically (or perhaps not-so-ironically), the NBA began speculating whether or not to ban the shoe without even reviewing it as of Monday, just two days after Kanye West delivered a pro-Trump MAGA rant on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” in which he castigated Democrats for putting black people on welfare and kicking fathers out of the home.

Following his appearance on “SNL” this weekend, West said that liberals bullied him backstage when they saw him in a MAGA hat. “They bullied me backstage,” he said. “They said, ‘don’t go out there with that hat on.’ They bullied me backstage. They bullied me! And then they say I’m in a sunken place.”

Indeed, ever since Kanye West announced his “dragon energy” for President Trump, the Left has been insisting his mind resides somewhere in “the sunken place,” referring to a state of hypnosis from the hit movie “Get Out” where black people have their consciousness forced into a state of subservience by white liberals — a smear, obviously.

A source close to ESPN did confirm, however, that a shoe without the reflective design would most likely be approved by NBA officials.
