<p>&#8220;Dukes of Hazzard&#8221; star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dukes-of-hazzard-star-john-schneider-mourns-his-wife-in-heartbreaking-tribute" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Schneider</a> is reportedly being investigated by the Secret Service for writing on X, in a since-deleted post, that President Joe Biden was &#8220;guilty of treason&#8221; and should be &#8220;publicly hung.&#8221;</p>
<p>An insider with knowledge told <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/12/john-schneider-secret-service-joe-biden-hanging-comment-1235680080/amp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deadline magazine</a> that a &#8220;probe&#8221; into the 63-year-old actor&#8217;s comments is in the early stages, despite the actor hitting back at the idea he ever threatened the life of the president.</p>
<p>&#8220;We look at all threats against our protectees and, due to intent, this falls under the definition of a threat,&#8221; a law enforcement insider said, according to the outlet.</p>

<p>Schneider&#8217;s initial post was in response to Biden <a href="https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1737630463236178175">writing</a> on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump &#8220;poses many threats to our country&#8221; including our democracy, adding that if Trump wins in 2024 &#8220;we lose that, we lose everything.&#8221;</p>
<p>The TV star replied, &#8220;Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son [Hunter Biden]<br />
too. Your response is&#8230;? Sincerely John Schneider.&#8221;</p>
<p>When contacted about a Secret Service probe, Schneider asked Deadline &#8220;seriously&#8221; in his statement and said he &#8220;neither said nor implied any such&#8221; threat against Biden.</p>

<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s my position, which I am entitled to have, that some of our nations [sic.] leaders in Washington have lost their way, and corruption runs rampant, both on our nation&#8217;s borders and abroad,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Transparency and accountability must happen in order for our constitutional republic to survive. There is no threat implied or otherwise in that statement.&#8221;</p>
