<p style="font-weight: 400;">Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo delivered one of the most scathing attacks in recent memory on Wednesday during the New York City mayoral debate, as he denounced Democratic socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani in a mic drop moment.</p>

And I allocated more funding for housing than any governor in the history of the state of New York.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“I did things,” he pointed out, then got down to brass tacks. “You have never had a job; you’ve never accomplished anything. There’s no reason to believe you have any merit or qualification for eight and a half million lives. You don’t know how to run a government; you don’t know how to handle an emergency, and you’ve literally never proposed a bill on anything that you’re not talking about in your campaign.”</p>

Federal prosecutors revealed al-Muhtadi’s cell phone was geolocated near Kibbutz Kfar Aza, the site of one of the deadliest Hamas-led slaughters on Oct. 7, where 60 innocents — some of them Americans — were butchered. FBI documents show al-Muhtadi issued battlefield-style commands over messaging apps: “Bring the rifles,” “get ready,” and “If you have a full magazine, bring it to me.” He wasn&#8217;t just a foot soldier. He was organizing fighters.</p>
<p data-start="1713" data-end="2112">And yet, this man — an open member of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) — was granted a visa and green card by the Biden administration after applying in Cairo. His social media? Filled with images of him in fatigues, training with Russian weapons. All of this slipped past the State Department’s so-called “vetting.”</p>
<p data-start="2114" data-end="2428">Al-Muhtadi entered through Dallas-Fort Worth in September 2024, lived in Tulsa, then Lafayette, Louisiana — where he was working in a restaurant when federal agents finally caught up with him. Cotton warned that al-Muhtadi is <em data-start="2338" data-end="2348">just one </em>of many who may have quietly slipped into the U.S. under Biden’s lax oversight.</p>
<p data-start="2430" data-end="2714">Cotton is now demanding a real-time terrorist watchlist that would proactively screen applicants from extremist-linked regions and immediate enhanced social media checks. &#8220;No terrorist should be able to slip through undetected,&#8221; he wrote, urging DHS and the FBI to coordinate.</p>

<p data-start="661" data-end="694">World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/chess/magnus-carlsen-horrible-vladimir-kramnik-daniel-naroditsky-death-10319480/?utm">described</a> the treatment of Naroditsky as “horrible,” placing direct blame on Kramnik’s behavior. “When he started going after Naroditsky so hard — first of all, I don’t think anybody thought Naroditsky was cheating,” Carlsen said. “The way he was going after him was horrible. Seeing how it affected him&#8230; it was apparent now.”</p>

It’s very sad for all of us that somebody who was such a resource to the chess community&#8230; was led to the place that he was.” Carlsen reflected on his early support for Kramnik’s anti-cheating campaign, saying, “At the start, I didn’t agree with his numbers, but I thought he was kind of fighting the good fight. But it turned on its head.”</p>

<p data-start="1557" data-end="1599">Indian Grandmaster Nihal Sarin, who played Naroditsky in his final online games, <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/chess/nihal-sarin-interview-as-told-daniel-naroditsky-death-kramnik-10319542/lite/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">revealed</a> the emotional distress Naroditsky expressed in their last conversations. “He said he was under immense stress due to a lot of accusations, from Kramnik. I can imagine the pain he was going through and the toll on his mental health.”</p>

<p data-start="1925" data-end="2211">Sarin noted that those close to him defended him when Kramnik accused him of cheating, making his experience much easier than Naroditsky’s. “Not as many people could be so vocal in supporting Naroditsky,” he said. Sarin believes the campaign of false accusations “literally took a life.”</p>

<p data-start="2213" data-end="2410">He recalled their final games: “Our last few games felt very abnormal&#8230; It was like he was just freezing. I was worried&#8230; and then I did not see him online again. The next day, I heard the news.”</p>

<p data-start="2412" data-end="2458">World No. 2 Hikaru Nakamura, a friend and fellow streamer, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGWcK8Ib5rc">did not hold back</a>: “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Kramnik can go f*** himself. He can go f*** himself and go rot in hell.”</p>

<p data-start="2658" data-end="2922">Nakamura and others have voiced outrage over Kramnik’s relentless online crusade, which, beginning in 2024, accused dozens of players of cheating, often based on flawed statistical analyses. Naroditsky, known for his honesty and transparency, was deeply affected.</p>

<p data-start="2992" data-end="3325">In a December 2024 Twitch stream, Naroditsky acknowledged the campaign was breaking him down: “I don’t think I’m good. I don’t think I’m thick-skinned enough to say, honestly, that that hasn’t been affecting me at all. I’ve been nice and civil and courteous to this army of troglodyte lowlifes for way too long. I’m really sick of it.”</p>

<p data-start="3327" data-end="3439">He later described Kramnik’s campaign as “a sustained, evil and absolutely unhinged attempt to destroy my life.”</p>

<p data-start="3441" data-end="3495">The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crmxj102039o">said</a> it is formally reviewing Kramnik’s actions. CEO Emil Sutovsky confirmed the organization is “looking into” the attacks against Naroditsky. British champion Jovana Houska welcomed the investigation, warning against “trial by social media.”</p>

The Charlotte Chess Center called him “admired and respected by fans and players around the world.” His Twitch and YouTube channels reached hundreds of thousands of viewers, making chess accessible to a new generation.</p>

<p data-start="4080" data-end="4306" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">As the chess world reels from this tragedy, many now echo the same message: this must never happen again. As Sarin put it: “When respected figures spread unfounded allegations without accountability, real lives are destroyed.”</p>

U.S. Chess Star Dead At 29 After Smear Campaign Sparks Outrage

<p style="font-weight: 400;">President Donald Trump on Tuesday essentially offered Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s political eulogy, saying he’s “mentally gone” and has been “beat up by young radical lunatics.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">When asked if the Democratic Party was now more New York Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s party than Schumer’s or House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’, Trump answered, “Probably is. Maybe he’ll run for president in four years; you’ll have a communist president. That would be interesting.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“I don’t see it happening,” he continued. “I’ve always said, ‘You will never see — and I’ve always talked to you about socialism — you will never see a socialist so and so — and I was right. I say it in speeches: ‘We will not have socialism in our country,’ and I was right.”</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">“He’s a communist, and he’s gonna be, maybe the mayor of New York &#8230; I would say he would be the leader of the party,” Trump continued.</p>

I’ve known him for a long time, but he’s — I think he’s mentally gone. He’s been beat up by young radical lunatics. And I think that Chuck Schumer is — he’s gonzo. I really do. I think he’s probably not going to run. It shows that he’s losing in every poll. Now, this is hard. You know, he wants to meet with me. Sort of hard to be with the guy after I make a statement like that, but I’m just giving you the facts. I think Chuck is probably finished.”</p>

<p>Trump is far from the only person contending that Schumer has capitulated to the far-Left wing of his party: Last week, Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), the Senate Majority Whip, bluntly stated that Schumer was beholden to the radicals in his party, <a href="https://www.barrasso.senate.gov/barrasso-the-radicals-hold-the-reins-of-todays-democrat-party/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">saying</a> on the Senate floor:</p>
