The first scheduled speaker had not even been introduced before protesters breached the recently-installed fencing outside the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday afternoon.
The Blaze&#8217;s Julio Rosas documented some of the chaos, sharing video on X of protesters first approaching the fencing and cutting off a sign posted by the United States Secret Service.

Within a short time, they had torn down sections of the outer fence entirely, pushing through to the other side.

The protesters, many of whom wore traditional Palestinian keffiyehs or carried Palestinian flags, attempted to breach a second fence line but were held back.

Rosas reported that he had seen at least one person arrested as Chicago police officers, fully kitted in riot gear, held the protesters off.

Most of the protesters were reportedly there to voice their objections to the Biden-Harris administration&#8217;s handling of the war between Israel and the terror group Hamas in Gaza — and while many called for an end to U.S.&#8217;s aid to Israel, some called for an end to Israel itself.

The U.S. House met its stated goal, passing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act ahead of the Memorial Day holiday weekend — and by Sunday morning, the talking heads were doing their best to direct as much rain as possible onto the House Republicans&#8217; parade.
For those who don&#8217;t spend their Sunday mornings glued to the television — and their Sunday afternoons attempting to dig through a week&#8217;s worth of network and cable news media spin — The Daily Wire has compiled a short summary of what you may have missed.
On CBS News&#8217; &#8220;Face the Nation,&#8221; host Margaret Brennan spoke with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) about the total projected cost of the bill as well as some of the provisions that were included before it was sent on to the U.S. Senate.

Johnson said that $4 to $5 trillion over approximately ten years was &#8220;about the right estimate&#8221; for the measure&#8217;s total cost, but he also said that the cuts included in the bill would provide savings to taxpayers as well.
&#8220;At the same time, we have historic savings for the American people — cuts to government to make it more efficient and effective and work better for the people,&#8221; Johnson said. &#8220;That was a big campaign promise of President Trump and a big promise of ours, and we&#8217;re going to achieve that. So in the calculation here, there&#8217;s more than $1.5 trillion in savings, Margaret, for the people.&#8221;
Johnson referred to the bill as &#8220;arguably the most consequential legislation Congress will pass in many generations.&#8221;
Brennan pushed back, noting that the Kaiser Foundation had evaluated the bill and said that changes to Medicaid could result in 200,000 people in Johnson&#8217;s home state of Louisiana losing their health care coverage. Johnson said that the only thing the bill would cut with regard to Medicaid was waste and abuse.
&#8220;There&#8217;s a moral component to what we&#8217;re doing. When you make young men work, it&#8217;s good for them, it&#8217;s good for their dignity, it&#8217;s good for their self-worth and it&#8217;s good for the community that they live in,&#8221; he explained.

Johnson also acknowledged that some Senate Republicans objected to the expanded SALT (state and local taxes) cap, but noted that the large number of House Republicans in blue states had made the expansion a &#8220;political reality.&#8221;

Spin Cycle: Kill Bill — The One Big Beautiful One, That Is

On Sunday, FBI agents at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City arrested a 28-year-old man charged with &#8220;attempting to destroy, by means of fire or explosive&#8221; a United States Embassy office in Tel Aviv, Israel, according to federal authorities.
Joseph Neumayer, who is a dual citizen of both the United States and Germany, was initially arrested in Israel and deported to the United States. He then received a detention order from U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo of the Eastern District of New York.
According to the press release posted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Sunday, Neumayer arrived in Israel in April and his first documented interaction with Israeli authorities came on May 19, when he allegedly spat on an Embassy guard.
&#8220;As alleged in the complaint, Neumayer arrived in Israel in April 2025. On May 19, Neumeyer, 28, arrived outside of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv carrying a dark-colored backpack. Without provocation Neumeyer spit on an Embassy guard as he walked past. Neumeyer managed to break free as the guard attempted to detain him, leaving behind his backpack,&#8221; the DOJ said.
&#8220;A search of Neumeyer’s backpack revealed three rudimentary improvised incendiary devices commonly known as Molotov cocktails. Law enforcement tracked Neumeyer to his hotel, where he was arrested,&#8221; the DOJ added. &#8220;Neumeyer’s social media revealed that earlier in the day on May 19, he posted, &#8216;join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f*** the west.'&#8221;
DOJ continued: &#8220;Law enforcement authorities confirmed the presence of flammable fluid in the devices. Other social media posts from an account believed to be used by Neumeyer revealed his threats to assassinate President Trump. On May 25, Israeli authorities returned Neumeyer to the United States.&#8221;
Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement: &#8220;This defendant is charged with planning a devastating attack targeting our embassy in Israel, threatening death to Americans, and President Trump’s life. The Department will not tolerate such violence and will prosecute this defendant to the fullest extent of the law.”

&#8220;As alleged, Neumeyer, armed with potentially lethal devices, sought to cause chaos and destruction at the U.S.Embassy in Tel Aviv. His arrest and prosecution clearly show that my Office and the Department of Justice will not tolerate violence in our homeland or violence targeting U.S. interests abroad,&#8221; said U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella for the Eastern District of New York.
According to the DOJ release: &#8220;If convicted, Neumeyer faces a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison, and a maximum fine in the amount of $250,000. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.&#8221;

American Citizen Arrested, Charged In Plot To Firebomb U.S. Embassy In Israel

With so many veterans&#8217; charities and organizations operating, it can be difficult for those who want to help America&#8217;s veterans ensure that their donations are going to the people they&#8217;re intended to help.
One group says it has the solution.
<a href="https://charitiesforvets.org/about-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charities for Vets</a> uses a straightforward rating process to help donors easily determine which veteran-focused organizations are managing their funds efficiently and getting the most money to the intended recipients.
Richard Berman, Executive Director of the RAM Foundation, told The Daily Wire he launched Charities for Vets because he saw just how many philanthropic groups were not using their resources effectively — and because, ultimately, the people that would be hurt by waste and abuse in charitable organizations would be those the charities were intended to help.
&#8220;We talk so often about &#8216;waste, fraud, and abuse,'&#8221; Berman said. &#8220;How many people are abusing their donors’ trusts by not delivering on the services they’ve promised?&#8221;
Charities For Vets answers those questions with a simple process. The group evaluates charities using data gleaned from IRS forms and other official filings, with the goal of determining &#8220;who is wasting money?
Berman explained what he believed set Charities for Vets apart from other watchdog organizations.
&#8220;There are a lot of watchdogs already out there, and I wouldn’t have done this if I thought they were doing a good job or if I didn’t think I could do it better,&#8221; he told The Daily Wire. &#8220;People are contributing money to organizations that are poorly run, and average small donors often don’t know those ratings even exist — or won’t pay for subscription to access the information.&#8221;
He also noted that Charities For Vets scores organizations differently from other watchdogs. While some organizations gave ratings for different areas and then averaged them, he said, Charities For Vets scores each area, &#8220;and a fail in any area results in a &#8216;not-recommended&#8217; status.&#8221;
&#8220;We have told people that if we have given you a poor rating, we will consider unique situations and change recommendations — and year to year, they can see changes in status if they are doing better or worse in any area. We have seen new heads of charities come in, call us, and make changes accordingly,&#8221; Berman added. &#8220;We are very sensitive to not making a mistake — a personal responsibility on my part. We are all volunteers. No one has any incentive to do anything different than call balls and strikes.&#8221;
Vietnam veteran and retired Marine Corps Colonel Pete Metzger, a member of the Charities For Vets advisory board, told The Daily Wire that Berman recruited him forthe project. Once he saw the concept, he was sold.
&#8220;It sounded to me like third grade common sense, and that&#8217;s important for an infantry guy. If people are going to give money, and thank God they do, the money ought to be going to where they think it’s going,&#8221; he said, adding, &#8220;The genius is in its simplicity, it’s not complicated at all. If you want to give some money, and we hope you do, just go to the website and look for the recommendation. It&#8217;s like a Consumer Report, but for charities instead of vacuum cleaners.&#8221;
Metzger went on to say that the results already seemed to be speaking for themselves.
&#8220;From 2022 to 2023, the charities that we did not recommend saw a drop in donations of 11.25%, or $125 million. Those that we recommended saw their donations increase by $23 million — and those that we highly recommended had an increase of $65 million.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;re not in the business to stop people from donating, we just want to divert funds to the charities that are doing the right things and encourage the charities that aren’t to fix things,&#8221; Metzger added.
Fellow advisory board member and retired Navy Commander Kirk Lippold told The Daily Wire that the project held a special meaning for him: he was Commander of the USS Cole when it was attacked by terrorists in 2000.
Knowing what it was like to watch service members and their families who were dependent on the help they received from charitable organizations, Lippold said that it was doubly important to make sure that those charities were being smart with the money coming in from donors.
For some that earned a &#8220;not recommended&#8221; rating, he said that it wasn&#8217;t necessarily about the organizations being bad.
&#8220;It’s not that these organizations don’t do good things, it’s that they’re spending too much money on overhead and fundraising — too little ultimately gets to the people who are supposed to be getting it.&#8221;
&#8220;Americans are incredibly ingenious and hardworking, and they always want to see their money spent efficiently and effectively. This process is the best way I&#8217;ve seen to ensure that the vast majority of it is going to the people who need that help,&#8221; Lippold said. &#8220;Our organization is the gold standard that we want people to turn to in order to determine which organizations give the most to the veterans who serve our great nation.&#8221;
One thing all three men stressed was that ratings were not permanent. Every year, Charities for Vets evaluates the top 100 military charities — and if those organizations make changes for better or for worse, those changes will be reflected in their ratings for that year.
They&#8217;re also open to challenges from organizations that feel they&#8217;ve been evaluated unfairly.
&#8220;It&#8217;s possible that either we miss something or they might report things in way that we can’t easily see what they’re doing. We are always willing to have a conversation about whether we’ve evaluated them fairly,&#8221; Lippold said, adding that if new information presents a different picture, that rating can change.
&#8220;And we do have organizations that are still very upset about getting a &#8216;not recommended&#8217; rating,&#8221; he said. &#8220;But this is the gold standard, and you can get as upset as you want, but we’re not going to change our criteria.&#8221;
Charities for Vets is run entirely by volunteers. Donations to their organization are used instead to promote their service and connect more people to military charities that are most effective at getting donations to the intended recipients.
&#8220;For every $50,000 we get in donations, we reach a million people,&#8221; Metzger said.

‘America, We Have A Problem’: Non-Profit Reveals Who’s Really Supporting Veterans

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sparred with NBC News White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor during Thursday&#8217;s briefing after Alcindor claimed that President Donald Trump had presented an &#8220;unsubstantiated&#8221; video of crosses marking the graves of white farmers in South Africa.
Alcindor repeated several times that the video was &#8220;unsubstantiated&#8221; and &#8220;not true&#8221; before asking what the process was for vetting such videos before showing them to world leaders like Trump did during an Oval Office meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Leavitt, who was having none of it, fired back immediately.

&#8220;The video showed images of crosses in South Africa about white farmers who have been killed and politically persecuted because of the color of their skin, and those crosses are representing their lives and the fact that they are now dead and their government did nothing about it,&#8221; Leavitt said as Alcindor continued to try to talk over her.
&#8220;Are you disputing that there&#8217;s no —&#8221; Leavitt pressed.
&#8220;I&#8217;m disputing the fact that the video showed what the president claimed it showed, because it did not show that,&#8221; Alcindor insisted. &#8220;But even more, who at the White House is responsible for —&#8221;
&#8220;It did show that, it showed white crosses representing people who have perished because of racial persecution,&#8221; Leavitt continued.
&#8220;— verifying the videos that the president shows, and what protocols are in place when there&#8217;s unsubstantiated information being put out for the world leaders —&#8221; Alcindor tried one more time.
&#8220;Yamiche, what&#8217;s unsubstantiated about the video?&#8221; Leavitt asked again — and then she noted that The Associated Press had also shared a photo of the same memorial, along with a caption that read, &#8220;A view of crosses planted at the White Cross Monument, each one marking a white farmer who has been killed in a farm murder, is seen on a hillside in Ysterberg near Polokwane, South Africa.&#8221;
&#8220;So it is substantiated, not just by that video and the physical evidence that everybody saw on display in the Oval Office, but also by another outlet in this room, The Associated Press, so you should take it up with them if you believe the claim is unsubstantiated.&#8221;

Karoline Leavitt Spars With NBC Reporter In Briefing Room Spat Over White South African Murders

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered a statement of &#8220;outrage&#8221; from President Donald Trump during Thursday&#8217;s press briefing, responding to the terror attack that had left two Israeli embassy staffers dead just hours earlier.
Elias Rodriguez, the suspect in the shooting deaths of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, allegedly chanted &#8220;Free, free Palestine&#8221; while he was being arrested — and Leavitt shared the president&#8217;s thoughts on the tragic situation.

&#8220;President Trump is saddened and outraged over the brutal murder of two Israeli Embassy staff here in Washington, D.C., last night,&#8221; Leavitt began. &#8220;Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were a beautiful young couple. In fact, we learned that Yaron was planing to propose to Sarah next week in Jerusalem.&#8221;
&#8220;Yaron&#8217;s father Daniel spoke about the young couple&#8217;s devotion for one another this morning,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;He said, &#8216;They were in love, one for the other.&#8217; The Embassy told us they were like star couple at the Embassy. &#8216;I never expected something like this. He had his whole life before him.'&#8221;
&#8220;These words, especially every parent knows, are heart-wrenching,&#8221; Leavitt said. &#8220;The evil of antisemitism must be eradicated from our society &#8230; Everyone here at the White House is praying for the victims&#8217; friends and family during this unimaginable time.&#8221;
Leavitt also stated that she&#8217;d spoken to Attorney General Pam Bondi about the investigation earlier in the day, and that Bondi had promised that the perpetrator of the horrific crime would be prosecuted &#8220;to the fullest extent of the law.&#8221;

White House Issues Statement Of ‘Outrage’ After Terror Attack On Israeli Embassy Staffers

Dr. Stephen Quay does not believe President Joe Biden was only just diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, telling The Daily Wire, &#8220;there is a mismatch between the standard of care [Biden] should have been getting, and what we&#8217;re hearing about now.&#8221;
Quay, a University of Michigan-educated doctor, author, and <a href="https://drquay.com/">renowned scientist</a>, spoke to The Daily Wire just days after the former president&#8217;s office announced that he had been diagnosed with an &#8220;aggressive form&#8221; of prostate cancer that had already metastasized to his bones. He said he&#8217;s received death threats since he began speaking out about Biden&#8217;s diagnosis, calling the experience &#8220;quite bizarre.&#8221;
But Quay made it clear that he is simply offering thoughts &#8220;based on peer-reviewed papers that address large populations.&#8221; To that end, he notes that 85 to 90% of all cases, the disease progression from localized in the prostate to advanced metastatic disease is a process that plays out &#8220;over the course of five to seven years.&#8221;
Quay made it clear that while a rapid onset of advanced disease was certainly possible, that was only the case in perhaps one or two percent of patients. He also noted the fact that Biden&#8217;s cancer is &#8220;hormone sensitive&#8221; could potentially explain the former president&#8217;s physical and cognitive decline.
&#8220;The standard treatment would be to deprive the body of testosterone through <a href="https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/prostate-cancer/treating/hormone-therapy.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Androgen Deprivation Therapy,&#8221;</a> Quay said. For a man of Biden&#8217;s age, such a precipitous drop in testosterone could lead patients to lose muscle tone and become noticeably weaker.
&#8220;Out of 100 men, nearly 40% will have a serious fall within six to 12 months of ADT treatment,&#8221; he said, adding that another common side effect had to do with patients seeing cognitive issues.
&#8220;Some of that will be self-reported, where they just notice that maybe they&#8217;re not as sharp as they have been in the past,&#8221; Quay said, also noting that the people around the patient might also notice cognitive decline even when the patient himself did not.
While Quay said that he had no knowledge of whether Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doctors-raise-questions-about-timing-of-biden-cancer-diagnosis-unbelievable-this-was-missed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">knew of his diagnosis</a> prior to his office&#8217;s public announcement, he said that it was possible that the former president&#8217;s noticeably awkward gait and obvious cognitive issues were side effects of the standard treatment for his cancer.
If that were the case, he added, he could understand why someone in Biden&#8217;s position might have made a &#8220;calculated decision&#8221; not to release the information to the public.
&#8220;He might have not had the cognitive issues when he decided to go ahead with a campaign,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s true that he probably couldn’t be elected with cancer or cognitive issues, so at some point, he would have to make a calculated decision whether or not to tell people. But to speak to whether or not that was the right course of action, I stop being a doctor with an opinion and start being a voter with an opinion — and that’s fine as long as I can keep them compartmentalized.&#8221;
A Biden spokesman has said that <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/joe-biden-psa-screening-2014-prostate-cancer-rcna208120" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nothing was hidden</a> from the public and that the former president did not receive his prostate cancer diagnosis until last Friday. The spokesman also said Biden&#8217;s last known prostate cancer screening — called a Prostate Specific Antigen test — was in 2014.
Quay discussed the efficacy of PSAs in an X post shortly after Biden&#8217;s diagnosis was made public.
&#8220;Prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases,&#8221; he wrote.
&#8220;The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth. For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic. Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025. It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed.&#8221;

&#8220;If you can believe what they say, that it is hormone sensitive, that means that it would be detectable in PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) levels,&#8221; he said, noting that PSA testing is not always recommended after age 69, but that for someone in Biden&#8217;s position it seemed unwise not to go ahead with the test.
&#8220;There is a mismatch between the standard of care that he should have been getting and what we’re hearing about now.&#8221;
