The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), the organization created to to seek the “liberation of Palestinians” through armed struggle against Israel, has condemned Howard Stern for his “racist” defense of Israel..
As The Daily Wire reported, in response to Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters’ open letter shaming Jon Bon Jovi for performing in Israel, Stern launched into an impassioned defense of the Jewish homeland on his radio show Tuesday.
Given to attacking public figures who would openly defend Israel, the PLO responded by issuing a statement (a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Free Beacon) demanding an apology from Stern for his “shameful” insult of “humanitarian” Waters and espousing “vitriolic and genocidal views” about Palestinians.
“The General Delegation of the PLO to the United States strongly condemns the recent inflammatory statements against Palestinians made by radio host, Howard Stern, as well as his shameful attack of human rights activist, Roger Waters,” the organization responsible for numerous terror attacks declared.
“Mr. Stern’s contention that Palestinians ‘did not live there [Palestine]’ is a claim grounded in racist assumptions that the indigenous Palestinian population does not exist. Such baseless allegations only serve to foment violence and hatred, and do little to promote the interests of peace and reconciliation.”
“[Stern] has a track-record of misusing his national radio platform to espouse vitriolic and genocidal views against Arabs and, in particular, Palestinians,” the group claimed.
“We will not allow anyone, including Mr. Stern, to disseminate misguided, racist, or genocidal views into the public sphere without being held to account,” the PLO writes. “The General Delegation of the PLO to the United States calls on Mr. Stern to retract both current and past statements and issue an immediate apology, and urges Sirius XM Radio, who we are confident does not condone such views, to hold Mr. Stern responsible.”
On his radio show Tuesday, Stern tore into long-time anti-Israel activist Waters, calling him out on the hypocrisy of his position. “What is with Roger Waters and the Jews?” asked Stern. “Why does Roger Waters live in America, a country that was founded on white people coming in and obliterating the native population? How does he stand it? Why don’t we all leave?”
Stern brought up Palestinians when he said that while they could live in several other countries in the region, “those countries don’t want them either,” something he said “bugs the s**t out out Roger Waters.”
“Where do you want the Jews to go Roger? Where do you want them to go? You want them to just go back to the concentration camp? What is it you want, f*ck head?” said Stern, later sarcastically adding that perhaps Waters wanted them to move to “the dark side of the moon.”
Howard has publicly defended Israel before, and made headlines then, too.
