People Offer Up Their Ribs, Organs To Save Ruth Bader Ginsburg

   DailyWire.com

Upon hearing news that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had been hospitalized due to a bad fall that allegedly left her with three broken ribs, people across social media have vowed to donate whatever organ or bone she needs to keep in good health. Some have even offered their lives up in her stead to the Almighty.

“Do they need rib donors? Because she can have mine. Right now. #RibsForRuth” said one person on Twitter. “Um, God take me instead?” said another.

Some people offering to give their lives and ribs had blue checkmarks.

“If Ruth Bader Ginsburg needs any of my bones or internal organs I don’t need mine,” said actress Leslie Grossman.

“I hereby donate all of my ribs and organs to Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” said journalist Lauren Duca.

“I will literally give 3 ribs to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg if she needs them, along with whichever other body parts she requires until 2020,” said activist and WaPo contributor Holly Figueroa O’Reilly.

Others suggested it might be time to throw a black robe over SNL actress Kate McKinnon (who plays RBG on the show) and hope she passes for the justice:

Of course, not all were so ghoulish or overly dramatic. Some people, including prominent conservatives, wished Ruth Bader Ginsburg a speedy recovery, as we do here at The Daily Wire.

“Don’t be ghouls, people. We wish her a speedy recovery,” said former presidential candidate Herman Cain.

“I understand a lot of conservatives don’t like Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg because of her politics, but her friendship with Justice Antonin Scalia was beautiful. It should serve as an example to our country to stop demonizing those who you disagree with,” said The Daily Wire’s Kassy Dillon.

“Keeping Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in our prayers and wishing her a speedy recovery!” said the group Students For Trump.

“Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, breaks ribs in fall. Best wishes for a quick recovery!” said Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch.

“I sincerely hope that Justice Ginsburg heals from this fall. And if she must retire from the bench because of it, then I hope Donald Trump can name a 3rd pro-life justice to SCOTUS,” said Catholic commentator Patrick Madrid.

The extent of Justice Ginsburg’s injuries still remains unknown at this time. According to the Associated Press, she has had a history of health problems that she has overcome in recent years.

“Ginsburg has had a series of health problems,” reports AP. “She broke two ribs in a fall in 2012. She has had two prior bouts with cancer and had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery in 2014. She also was hospitalized after a bad reaction to medicine in 2009.”

At 85, Justice Ginsburg has made no plans to retire from her Supreme Court seat, which, if filled by a conservative, would dramatically alter the court’s makeup for decades to come. In the early Obama years, progressive activists were hoping she would announce her retirement so that the former president could replace her with an equally liberal judge. After the 2014 midterm, when Republicans took back the Senate, her retirement became all the less likely. Now that President Trump sits in the oval office and Republicans control the Senate, Ginsburg will likely stay on until well past 2020.
