PEAS IN A POD: Rashida Tlaib Says Barack Obama Told Her He’s Proud Of Her

While fellow freshman congresswoman and anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has taken up even more headlines, it is incumbent upon sober-minded observers of our politics not to forget about the radicalism of another freshman congresswoman and anti-Semite: Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).

Immediately after being sworn in as a freshman congresswoman, Tlaib ostentatiously flaunted a map in her congressional office that wholly replaced Israel with the fictitious, legally non-existent pseudo-entity of “Palestine.” And as The Daily Wire has reported, Tlaib only very recently unfollowed an Instagram account named “free.palestine.1948,” which, according to Ashley Rae Goldenberg of Capital Research Center, frequently shares “blatantly anti-Semitic posts and 9/11 conspiracy theories,” including posts that “compar[e] Jews to vermin and Hitler … assert[] Jews wield an enormous amount of power, and … claim[] Israel ‘did’ 9/11 and supports ISIS.”

Even more damning, as The Daily Caller reported in late January:

Tlaib is a member of the Facebook group “Palestinian American Congress,” where members often demonize Jews. The group’s founder, Palestinian activist Maher Abdel-qader, was a key fundraiser for Tlaib and organized campaign events for her around the country.

In January 2018, Abdel-qader shared an anti-Semitic video that claimed Jews aren’t actually Jewish, and invented their historical claim to Israel and secretly control the media.

The video, which described Jews as “satanic,” also questioned whether 6 million Jews actually died in the Holocaust.

“Research the truth about the Holocaust, and you’ll definitely start to question what you thought you knew,” the video’s narrator says. …

In several other posts to the group, Abdel-qader insisted that Jews aren’t actually from Israel. In one October 2017 post, he accused Israeli settlers of training children “to terrorize Palestinian civilians.”

Other members of the group have added posts accusing Jews of controlling the media and perpetuating other anti-Semitic stereotypes.

Yesterday, Tlaib took to Twitter to brag about how a certain famous anti-Israel activist recently told her: “I’m proud of you.”

“.@BarackObama met with us new members of Congress and we had a thoughtful discussion about serving our country,” Tlaib tweeted. “The best part was when he looked straight at me and said, ‘I’m proud of you.'”

That would be the same Barack Obama who famously sought to create daylight between the U.S. and Israel, who undermined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at every possible turn, who undermined Israel’s national security via the harrowing nuclear capitulation to Iran, and who infamously once denigrated religious Jews murdered by Islamic State jihadists in a Parisian kosher supermarket as “a bunch of folks [randomly shot] in a deli.”

Makes perfect sense.

This latest controversy involving prominent Democratic Party flirtation with Jew-haters coincides with the rollout of “Jexodus” — a movement to persuade forsaken Jewish Democrats to re-register as Republicans. The Daily Wire has previously reported on “Jexodus”:

Jexodus is the brainchild of Jeff Ballabon — a longstanding fixture in Republican Jewish circles — and an assortment of like-minded activists like Bruce Abramson, Ballabon’s frequent op-ed coauthor. Some of Ballabon’s prior successful ventures include starting the now-annual Shabbat at CPAC and his work on the Republican Party’s Israel-specific platform language drafted at the Party’s 2016 national convention; Ballabon is widely credited with helping lead the charge on changes made to the Party’s 2016 platform that expressly removed any references to or mandates for a “two-state solution” with the Palestinian-Arabs, and overtly stated that Israel is not an “occupier” with respect to its lawful presence in Judea and Samaria.

Jexodus’s national spokesperson is Elizabeth Pipko, a religious Jew and part-time model with close ties to President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign. In an exclusive interview with The Daily Wire, Pipko described Jexodus as a Millennial-centric movement to help “get Jews to stand up for themselves and what their religion stands for.” Pipko discussed media bias and how the casual cable news viewer is oftentimes more likely to hear about President Trump’s alleged anti-Semitism than he/she is likely to hear about Ilhan Omar’s (actual) anti-Semitism.
