<p>Ousted MSNBC host Joy Reid admitted that she would probably &#8220;freak out&#8221; if she saw a naked man while she was changing her clothes in a women&#8217;s locker room.</p>
<p>Reid was discussing the issue on Sunday&#8217;s episode of her &#8220;Reid This Reid That&#8221; podcast, and she referenced a recent incident that took place in California. Singer Tish Hyman went viral after she confronted a man in the women&#8217;s locker room at a Los Angeles gym — and she was kicked out because the man in question identified as transgender.</p>
<p>&#8220;I would be disturbed. I would be alarmed. I’m alarmed enough when I see a woman with her dangling boobies,&#8221; Reid was careful to qualify her statement. &#8220;If I saw a penis in the ladies’ locker room, I would freak out, too.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;What it’s saying is if I turn around and I see a pee pee, a penis in front of me inside of the room, I would probably go to management and say, ‘Wait a minute. Why is there somebody — a naked man — in this room?’” Reid said. &#8220;Because just the world we live in, just from a safety standpoint and just from a privacy standpoint … I can see why she would have gone and reported to management.”</p>
<p>&#8220;Because if she’s uncomfortable, does she not have the right to be at least uncomfortable with the situation?&#8221; Reid asked.</p>
<p>Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines — who was forced at the 2022 NCAA championships to not only compete against a biological male but to change in the same locker rooms — was not terribly impressed with Reid&#8217;s sudden conversion.</p>
<p>&#8220;Ah. Joy Reid says she doesn’t want to see a penis in the women’s locker room,&#8221; she posted. &#8220;She’s going to pretend she’s believed this all along, never addressing the years she spent attacking and smearing women who said this exact thing.&#8221;</p>

<p>Reid sang a very different tune in 2016, when she used the phrase &#8220;bathroom panic&#8221; to describe the people who were freaking out about trans-identifying individuals using bathrooms that corresponded to their adopted gender rather than their biological sex.</p>
