Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) has a penchant for virtue-signaling on social media. Today, he tweeted about an exchange with his nine-year-old child about a Koch Brothers commercial.
My 9 yr old: This is a cool commercial.
Me: That’s a Koch Brothers ad. They’re polluters.
9 yr old: Oh. Well, they have good commercials.— Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 27, 2017
Progressives have a history of citing the Koch Brothers for supposedly funneling cash for the “Climate Denial Machine.” Koch Industries responded to Murphy’s tweet by thanking his child and linked their environmental responsibility pledge:
Please tell your 9 year old thanks! If you want to learn about our environmental responsibility efforts visit https://t.co/Fu0kjbOtLM

The website linked in the tweet lists their five steps to helping the environment, including reducing waste, saving energy, recylcing resources, preventing pollution, and community partnerships. Twitter appreciated Koch Industries’ burn:
