Ocasio-Cortez Slams CRTV Host For Satirical Video; Host Responds

Good humor is lost again.

Allie Stuckey, also known as the “Conservative Millennial,” is getting flak for a video she posted yesterday of an obviously satirical interview with self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

In the video, Stuckey appears to ask Ocasio-Cortez questions about socialism and her campaign. The Democratic candidate “answers” via clips from her viral PBS interview.

“Do you have any knowledge whatsoever about how our political system works?” Stuckey asks in the video. In response, Ocasio-Cortez shakes her head no. The satirical interview continues in the same fashion, with Stuckey appearing to ask the Democratic candidate questions and Ocasio-Cortez “answering” with responses from the much-criticized PBS interview.

You can watch the entire video below:

Despite the video being obviously satirical — with clear cues, like different lighting, different rooms and no shots of the two women together — Ocasio-Cortez responded to the video on Twitter by claiming that Stuckey was trying to promote it as authentic.

“Republicans are so scared of me that they’re faking videos and presenting them as real on Facebook because they can’t deal with reality anymore,” she wrote.

“Girl— it was a clear joke, not a ‘fake’ video,” responded Stuckey. “As much as I disagree with you politically, I’ve been public about how impressed I am with your quick rise to prominence. Good luck!”

Stuckey is known for her satirical videos. Stuckey is often seen on her Facebook page using satire, including the time she pretended she was a leftist and started arguing with herself, or when she satirically interviewed The Daily Wire’s Editor-in-Chief, Ben Shapiro. On her website she states that she employs “both satire and straightforward explanations to warn my fellow millennials about the dangers of liberal indoctrination and emphasize the commonsense of conservatism.”

“Satire and comedy have a long history in political discourse, and I’m not going to apologize for taking part in it,” Stuckey told The Daily Wire. “It’s okay that some people are upset. If you don’t like the joke, don’t laugh.”
