In a series of defensive and divisive statements, President Barack Obama has made clear to the world that conservatives are more deserving of his wrath than barbaric Islamic State terrorists, mocking Republicans repeatedly for calling for a pause to his plan to import 10,000 Syrian “refugees.” One of his petty barbs included accusing those who wanted to be more safe than sorry regarding Syrian refugees as being afraid of “widows and orphans.”
“Apparently they are scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America,” Obama said of the GOP Wednesday morning in the Philippines. “At first, they were too scared of the press being too tough on them in the debates. Now they are scared of three year old orphans. That doesn’t seem so tough to me.”
In yet another intrusion of reality on Obama’s unpresidential rhetoric, in the last 48 hours at least three jihadist women have blown themselves up.
One of those radical Islamist women was blew herself up in Paris when, after a six-hour siege, authorities raided a flat where they believed one of the masterminds of the devastating coordinated attacks in Paris was residing. The female jihadist—believed to be a cousin of the attacks logistics man, Abaaoud nor Salah Abdeslam—failed to take the life of any of the law enforcement, but she did take the life of police dog “Diesel.” She was reportedly the first to open fire on police, and at one point called out “Help me, help me!” apparently in an attempt to lure in police before detonating the bomb.
Two more female suicide bombers struck Wednesday in Nigeria, but with far more deadly results. The Guardian reports:
At least 15 people have been killed after two female suicide bombers, one said to be aged as young as 11, blew themselves up at a busy mobile phone market in north-east Nigeria, a day after more than 30 were killed in a bomb blast.
Two explosions ripped through the Farm Centre market in northern Nigeria’s biggest city, Kano, shortly after 4pm on Wednesday.
One of them was reportedly only 11 years old; the other was 18. No reports on whether they had been “orphans.”
The Guardian notes that Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram has made a habit of using young girls as “human bombs”: “In July 2014, Kano was hit four times in the space of a week by a spate of young female suicide bombers, whom experts say are unlikely to be willing participants to the carnage.”
So far, the Islamist group has killed at least 17,000 people and left more than 2.6 million homeless.

While most suicide bombers are men, Islamic militant groups have occasionally deployed women to carry out such attacks. Long before the rise of Islamic radicalism, women suicide bombers were used by leftist and separatist groups in the Arab [world] and beyond.”
