<p>San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa crashed an NBC Sports postgame interview on Sunday night, enthusiastically pointing to his pro-Trump &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; hat.</p>
<p>Bosa, a <a href="https://www.49ers.com/news/nick-bosa-ranked-no-4-nfl-top-100-players-2023-training-camp#:~:text=Reigning%20AP%20NFL%20Defensive%20Player,was%20unveiled%20as%20the%20No." target="_blank" rel="noopener">top defensive player</a> in the NFL, then seemed to double down on his support for former President Donald Trump during a postgame press conference.</p>
<p>After Bosa interrupted a postgame interview on the field, the athlete points to his hat and then runs out of frame, as seen below:</p>

<p>Some of Bosa&#8217;s teammates and the sports reporter all chuckle at the display. Comedian Tim Young said that reaction was particularly noteworthy, <a href="https://x.com/TimRunsHisMouth/status/1850774642430025902" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writing</a> on X,  &#8220;It&#8217;s not just that Nick Bosa crashed the post game with his MAGA hat &#8230; It&#8217;s that everyone else around him enjoyed it. The tide has turned.&#8221;</p>

<p>Further, Bosa reiterated his Trump support when asked about the hat during a postgame presser. “I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,&#8221; he told reporters.</p>

<p>Back in 2019, Trump congratulated Bosa on social media for being the number two draft pick in the NFL.</p>
<p>&#8220;Congratulations to Nick Bosa on being picked number two in the NFL Draft,&#8221; the former president wrote on Twitter, which is now X. &#8220;You will be a great player for years to come, maybe one of the best. Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always stay true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!&#8221;</p>
<p>In 2016, media outlets <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/27/politics/trump-nick-bosa-colin-kaepernick/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">targeted</a> Bosa for apparent posts online that were supportive of Trump and a post that called former 49ers QB and far-Left anti-police activist Colin Kaepernick a &#8220;clown.&#8221; The athlete apologized for the posts and <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2019/story/_/id/26470980/nick-bosa-nfl-draft-best-prospect-itching-return-field" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> told ESPN that he deleted them because he &#8220;had to,&#8221; noting that he might end up being drafted by San Francisco.</p>
<p>Bosa is not the only athlete publicly backing Trump. Former Green Bay Packers quarterback and Hall of Famer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Favre</a>, for example, is set to speak at a Wisconsin rally for Trump this week.</p>
<p>“My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech and religion, the second amendment (sic), hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me and these principles, my vote is for [Trump],” Favre <a href="https://wfin.com/fox-sports/nfl-legend-brett-favre-to-speak-at-trump-rally-in-wisconsin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a> on social media in 2020.</p>
<p>Former Steelers star <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-a-real-one-former-steelers-star-leveon-bell-lauds-trump-after-pa-rally" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Le&#8217;Veon Bell</a> has also expressed support for Trump.</p>
