Hall of Fame football legend <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre">Brett Favre</a> weighed in on whether the NFL will crack down on players who have celebrated victories by doing the viral “Trump” dance.
On Tuesday, speaking to <a href="https://x.com/foxnews/status/1858903118349476245?s=46&amp;t=yVg_AIbZC0FnyCtU4qPVYw">Fox News</a>, the 55-year-old former Green Bay Packers star QB was asked about the dance that’s sweeping the sports world and whether he thinks the league will fine players or institute some kind of ban to get <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nfl-reportedly-looking-into-fine-against-bosa-for-flashing-maga-hat-on-tv" target="_blank" rel="noopener">players to stop showing support</a> on the field for Trump.
“I find it hard to believe that the NFL would crack down on this ‘Trump’ dance,” Favre told the outlet. “I really do. I would hope that they wouldn’t.”
NFL players from across the league have also started celebrating their individual victories by doing the <a href="https://x.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/1858267401533714552">dance</a>, which has become a viral sensation.

It became a trend on social media after supporters made videos of themselves doing the same dance moves that Trump often did when he danced to the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.” at his numerous campaign rallies.
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers did the Trump-esque dance moves when he scored a touchdown on Sunday, after he caught a 23-yard pass late in the third quarter to give the Raiders 12 points against the Miami Dolphins&#8217; 17.

And while those watching the game live saw Bowers’ dance in the end zone — and then a shot of Raiders’ owner Mark Davis reacting to the TD — the victory celebration seemed to be missing from the post “NFL on CBS” made on X, <a href="https://www.outkick.com/sports/nfl-cbs-caught-editing-trump-dance-out-raiders-touchdown-celebration">OutKick</a> noted.
The <a href="https://x.com/NFLonCBS/status/1858239347444564173">social media post</a> showed the 23-yard catch and then cut straight to the shot of Davis in his suite.
But Bowers wasn’t the only NFL player rocking the dance moves.
During the Detroit Lions game, Za’Darius Smith and Malcolm Rodriguez celebrated their team’s defensive stop on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, also by doing the funny <a href="https://x.com/Lions/status/1858247510399095080">Trump-esque dance</a> moves.
Tennessee Titans players Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine busted out the Trump moves ahead of what appeared to be a touchdown during the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The viral dance even made an appearance on Monday at the Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals in St. Louis, when U.S. men’s soccer star Christian Pulisic <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/top-usa-soccer-player-does-trump-dance-after-goal">celebrated</a> making the first goal in the team’s 4-2 victory against Jamaica by rocking the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/viral-trump-dance-takes-over-nfl-ufc">viral dance moves</a>.

Former <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/green-bay-packers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Green Bay Packers</a> quarterback <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Favre</a> slammed President Joe Biden on Wednesday for calling supporters of former President Donald Trump “garbage.”
Favre, a three time NFL MVP and Super Bowl winner, made the comments during a rally in Green Bay in support of Trump. As Favre opened up his remarks, cheers of “Go Pack Go” echoed throughout the Resch Center where the rally was being held.
“I can tell you one thing, I knew I would come back to Green Bay at various times, but I never thought I would come back in this setting,” Favre said. “There’s never been a more important time in our lives than right now in this election.”
”Much like the Packer organization, Donald Trump and his organization is a winner. The United States of America won with his leadership,” Favre added.
The former quarterback then turned to address <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-slammed-after-calling-74-million-americans-garbage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden’s comments</a> on Tuesday where he referred to Trump supporters as “garbage.”
“I can assure you we’re not garbage,” Favre said. “How dare he say that. Looking out, I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. I see everyday Americans that make this country great.”
During his remarks, Favre pointed to high inflation, the fentanyl crisis, and foreign policy as reasons to back Trump.
“The stakes are incredibly high,” he said. &#8220;Families across Wisconsin are struggling to make ends meet. People’s salaries haven’t kept up with inflation. It’s getting harder for younger people to buy their first home. People are losing hope in the American dream.”

“And it’s not just about money. People are losing their lives,” he added. “Last year, 50 people here in Brown County died of a fentanyl overdose. That’s 50 too many. And our kids face the prospect of World War III.”
Favre said that it would be “insane” to give Vice President Kamala Harris four more years in the White House, saying that “its time to bench Kamala and put in the star quarterback Donald Trump.”
“I have lived the American dream,” he said. “But I want to make sure the future generations get to as well. And that would be my grandson Parker and his two brothers. So remember this: let’s make America great again.”
Favre spent one season with the Atlanta Falcons, 16 seasons with the Packers, one season with the New York Jets, and two with the Minnesota Vikings. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2016. He played a record 299 consecutive games and threw for 508 touchdowns and 71,838 yards in his career.
Both Trump and Harris have spent significant time in Wisconsin as it is again projected to be close.

The Trump campaign announced Friday that Favre, a Super Bowl winner and three-time NFL MVP, would be a special guest at a rally at the Resch Center in Green Bay on Wednesday. Favre, who played 20 seasons in the NFL, previously backed Trump’s 2020 campaign.
&#8220;My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech and religion, the second amendment, hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me and these principles, my vote is for [Trump],” Favre <a href="https://wfin.com/fox-sports/nfl-legend-brett-favre-to-speak-at-trump-rally-in-wisconsin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in 2020.
Favre has advocated to keep transgender-identifying males from participating in female sports and prioritizing American citizens.
“If you’re born in the USA or an American citizen and you put other countries above us, then that’s unpatriotic. That’s it,” Favre posted on X last month.

Last year, Favre said that the country was in “better shape” when Trump was president.
“I think Donald was a non-political president, and I liked that about him. Was he perfect? Absolutely not. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I&#8217;m flawed just like the rest of them,” he <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/article-14004543/brett-favre-donald-trump-rally-wisconsin.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on the &#8220;Fearless&#8221; podcast. “We&#8217;re all flawed. But I really felt like he had our country in a better place and really cared about our people in our country.”
“Black, White, Hispanic, Asian — you name it. I think if you were an American citizen, he cared about you, first and foremost. I don&#8217;t know if our current president has the same mentality,” he said.
Last month, Favre revealed in front of Congress that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The Hall of Fame quarterback made the revelation during testimony in front of the House Ways and Means Committee while discussing Prevacus, a company making a concussion drug that improperly received millions of dollars of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds from the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

The attorney for NFL Hall of Fame quarterback <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Favre</a> told The Daily Wire’s “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/crain-and-company" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Crain and Company</a>” podcast Monday that his client has an open and shut case against two of the biggest names in sports media. 
Eric Herschmann joined the hosts of the sports podcast to discuss Favre’s recent legal challenges stemming from allegations that the former Green Bay Packers star misused state welfare funds to help build a volleyball facility for his alma mater, Southern Miss, where his daughter played volleyball. Herschmann argued that the state, not Favre, was at fault for mishandling millions of dollars and that sports media personalities Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee defamed his client when discussing the case. 
“Brett never got any of this money. They’re suing him for $5 million that went from the state agency that’s responsible for welfare funds and ended up in the pocket of another state agency, Southern Miss, and there’s some way they think that’s theft,” Herschmann argued.  
“There may be a problem within Mississippi … but this really has nothing to do with Brett,” the attorney added. Immediately after discovering the funds were taken from the state welfare agency, Favre returned the money, according to Herschmann.
Last September, former Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services John Davis pleaded guilty to conspiracy and theft relating to the $77 million welfare scandal, which is Mississippi’s largest public corruption case ever, <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/brett-favre-scandal-explained-ex-nfl-qb-is-accused-of-misusing-of-mississippi-state-welfare-funds/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to CBS. The Department of Justice accused four others of conspiring with Davis but did not name them. Favre has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing. 
Following allegations that Favre was involved in the scandal, the Hall of Famer was dragged by Sharpe and McAfee. On his Fox Sports show with Skip Bayless, Sharpe referred to Favre as a “sleazeball” and said the quarterback must be “a sorry mofo to steal from the underserved.” Favre <a href="https://www.pennlive.com/sports/2023/02/brett-favre-suing-shannon-sharpe-pat-mcafee-for-saying-he-was-stealing-from-the-poor-people-of-mississippi.html">claims</a> that McAfee, who hosts his own show on Sirius XM, falsely referred to Favre as a “thief” who stole “from the underprivileged people of Mississippi.”

Favre sued both Sharpe and McAfee along with Mississippi’s state auditor last month for defamation. McAfee responded to the lawsuit on his show on February 27, but Sharpe has yet to comment on the lawsuit publically.

Herschmann told the “Crain and Company” hosts that McAfee has dug a hole for himself by continuing to discuss the scandal, and the attorney believes he has a “slam dunk” case against the media personality.
“Pat McAfee keeps talking about it. In all my years of being an attorney and being a prosecutor previously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a defendant build a case against himself the way Pat is.”

Fighting, weightlifting, tennis, swimming, and every other sport that rewards speed and strength give unfair advantages to biological males, according to luminaries like podcast king <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-rogan">Joe Rogan</a>, NFL Hall of Famer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre">Brett Favre</a>, former tennis superstar <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tennis-legend-martina-navratilova-says-allowing-emily-zanotti">Martina Navratilova</a>, and another legend who was once the best athlete in the world.
“I mean, you can wear all the lipstick you want,” Rogan, also a UFC announcer, said in 2013 of trans woman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biopic-of-trans-mma-fighter-fallon-fox-in-the-works">Fallon Fox</a>, who was dominating women’s mixed martial arts — even <a href="http://whoatv.com/transgender-fighter-fallon-fox-sends-opponent-to-hospital/">reportedly</a> leaving one opponent with a fractured skull. “You want to be a woman and you want to take female hormones, you want to get a boob job, that&#8217;s all fine. I support your life to live, your right to live as a woman.”
But hormones and even operations don’t erase the natural advantages biological males have over women, Rogan said.
“The operation doesn&#8217;t shave down your bone density,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t change. You look at a man&#8217;s hands and you look at a women&#8217;s hands and they&#8217;re built different. They&#8217;re just thicker, they&#8217;re stronger, your wrists are thicker, your elbows are thicker, your joints are thicker. Just the mechanical function of punching, a man can do it much harder than a woman can, period.”

More recently, Rogan railed against what he considers “an assault on women’s sports.”
“Women are so frustrated because if you – or parents if your daughter is competing and they’re competing against trans women, it’s not fair,&#8221; <a href="https://www.foxsports.com.au/more-sports/its-not-fair-joe-rogan-slams-transgender-athletes-competing-in-womens-sport/news-story/f1e618764a72673670bdbde51b05dab6">Rogan said in an April podcast</a>. “It’s not fair no matter what anybody says. There’s a reason why we have a distinction between men and women’s sports.”
In “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/what-is-a-woman-official-trailer">What is a Woman?</a>” Walsh interviewed a University of Pennsylvania swimmer and member of the women’s team who said she was disillusioned about having Lia Thomas, a biological male who only transitioned last year, on the team. Thomas, who has not had a sex-change operation, won an NCAA championship in the 500-yard freestyle in March.
“If you even bring up the fact that Lia’s swimming might not be fair, you’re immediately shut down and called a hateful person, or transphobic,” the swimmer, whose identity was shielded to protect her from retribution, told Walsh.
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/what-is-a-woman-official-trailer">The documentary</a> shows how trans high school track athletes and basketball players dominate girls’ competition, leaving biological females dispirited. Selina Soule, a high school track star from Connecticut, recounted to Walsh how she was edged out of a chance to go to the New England Regional Championships in the 55-meter dash when two biological male athletes finished ahead of her.
&#8220;Once the gun went off, the two transgender athletes took off flying and left all of us girls in the dust,&#8221; she told Walsh. &#8220;After so many losses, it just gets to the point of &#8216;Why am I even doing this?'&#8221;
The phenomenon Walsh spotlights in &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/what-is-a-woman-official-trailer">What is a Woman?</a>&#8221; has bothered top athletes for years.
Last year, NFL legend Favre spoke his mind as transgender weightlifter Laurel Hubbard represented New Zealand in the <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/topic/tokyo-2020-olympics">2020 Olympic Games</a> in Tokyo.

&#8220;It&#8217;s a man competing as a woman,&#8221; the longtime Green Bay Packers quarterback told co-host Eric Bolling on their Bolling with Favre podcast. &#8220;That&#8217;s unfair. It&#8217;s not fair for a man, even if this person wants to be a woman or feels compelled—if you want to become the opposite sex, that&#8217;s fine. I’ve got no problem with it. But you can&#8217;t compete against—males cannot compete against females.&#8221;
Navratilova, widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time, in a <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-rules-on-trans-athletes-reward-cheats-and-punish-the-innocent-klsrq6h3x">2019 column for the Sunday Times of London</a>, said enough was enough with trans athletes competing against women.
“A man can decide to be female, take hormones if required by whatever sporting organization is concerned, win everything in sight and perhaps earn a small fortune and then reverse his decision and go back to making babies if he so desires,” she said.
The same year, British swimming star swimmer Sharron Davies, a silver medalist in the 400-meter individual medley at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, spoke out against the trans trend in sports.
“If you just ignore that potential benefit, women, XX-born natal females, will not be able to win any of their medals, any of their sports scholarships, any of their profile opportunities to be able to get a platform,&#8221; Davies told <a class="Link" href="https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-48368630">the BBC</a>. &#8220;How is that fair? We are in a society where 50% of us are women.&#8221;
Davies, who also represented Great Britain in the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics, said it is a matter of preserving the integrity of female sports.
“I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex you are born with and the gender you may identify as,” Davies said. “To protect women’s sport, those with a male sex advantage should not be able to compete in women’s sport.”

Perhaps no one is better qualified to speak about the advantage biological males who identify as women have in sports than Caitlyn Jenner. In the 1970s, Jenner identified as a male named Bruce and was regarded as the best athlete in the world after winning the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.
&#8220;I have said from the beginning, I don&#8217;t think biological boys should compete in women&#8217;s sports,” Jenner <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/01/19/caitlyn-jenner-on-lia-thomas-ncaa-needs-protect-womens-sports/">told Fox News</a> earlier this year. “It&#8217;s just not fair.&#8221;

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/mississippi">Mississippi</a> Department of Human Services has sued <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nfl">NFL</a> Hall of Fame quarterback <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre">Brett Favre</a> and a trio of ex-professional wrestlers in connection with a long-running dispute over their roles in promoting a taxpayer-funded program for the poor.
The lawsuit, filed Monday Hinds County Circuit Court, alleges the defendants &#8220;squandered&#8221; more than $20 million from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, part of what Mississippi Auditor Shad White has called the largest public corruption case in the state in decades. Favre had paid back speaking fees he was given for promoting the program, but the state claims he still owes $228,000 in interest.
“I love Mississippi and I would never knowingly do anything to take away from those that need it most,” Favre said in 2020, when the allegations first came to light that he accepted money but did not follow through on his obligations.

Monday&#8217;s lawsuit was filed weeks after a mother and son who ran a Mississippi nonprofit pleaded guilty to state criminal charges tied to the misspending. Nancy New, 69, and Zachary New, 39, agreed to testify against others in the case.
The case dates back to early 2020, when News and her son, former Mississippi Department of Human Services executive director John Davis, and three others were charged with diverting welfare money to items such as drug rehabilitation for former pro wrestler Brett DiBiase. DiBiase is a defendant in the lawsuit, as are his father and brother, Ted DiBiase Sr. and Ted &#8220;Teddy&#8221; DiBiase Jr., who also were pro wrestlers.
Ted DiBiase Sr. was a prominent World Wrestling Federation star known as the &#8220;The Million Dollar Man&#8221; in the 1980s. He is now a Christian evangelist and a motivational speaker who was given a $1.7 million grant in 2017 and 2018 to promote the welfare program, according to the lawsuit.
Last year, White ordered DiBiase, Favre and others to repay $77 million of misspent welfare funds. Favre, who lives in Mississippi and was hired to promote the program, was ordered to return $1.1 million, which he did. The Green Bay Packers great has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing.
White said Favre was paid for speeches but did not show up and still owes interest on the money he was paid. Favre has said he did not know the money he received came from welfare funds and has touted charity work his foundation has performed in the state as evidence he would never cheat the poor.
&#8220;I applaud the team filing this suit and am grateful the state is taking another step toward justice for the taxpayers,&#8221; White said. &#8220;We will continue to work alongside our federal partners &#8212; who have been given access to all our evidence for more than two years &#8212; to make sure the case is fully investigated.&#8221;
State prosecutors said Favre sought to have Nancy New use money from the program to fund Prevacus, a Florida-based company trying to develop a concussion drug in which Favre was the leading investor.
Favre allegedly hosted a Prevacus stock sales presentation at his home in January 2019, attended by VanLandingham, Davis, Nancy New, Zach New and Ted DiBiase Jr., though it was not clear if or how much money from the welfare program was diverted to Prevacus.

NFL Great Brett Favre Sued By Mississippi Over Misspent Welfare Funds

Brett Favre is a part of the old-guard NFL. In his playing days, he was the prototypical iron-man, starting at quarterback for a record 297 consecutive games. 
His toughness on the field is the stuff of legends, but the Hall of Famer is doing what he can to protect the younger generation from experiencing the head trauma he experienced from his years of playing tackle football. 
Favre has partnered with the “Concussion Legacy Foundation” in order to encourage parents to prevent their children from playing tackle football before the age of 14. According to the <a href="https://concussionfoundation.org/Favre4Flag">CLF</a>, a &#8220;child’s odds of developing Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) double every additional three years they play tackle football.&#8221;
“Having kids play before high school is just not worth the risk,” Favre <a href="https://concussionfoundation.org/Favre4Flag">said</a> in a statement. ​​​”CTE is a terrible disease, and we need to do everything we can to prevent it for the next generation of football players.”

Favre joined the crew at NBC on “<a href="https://www.today.com/video/brett-favre-urges-no-tackle-football-for-kids-under-14-in-new-psa-118859845821">Today</a>” to discuss his partnership as well as the impacts of CTE. 
“I don’t know what normal feels like,” Favre said when asked how he’s feeling. “Do I have CTE or early-onset? I really don’t know, but I can’t complain. I’m able to do and function as I please for the most part.” 
“Concussions are a very, very serious thing. And we’re just scraping the service of how severe they are and what are the repercussions.” 
Favre does not have sons of his own, but he does have three grandsons and he was asked what he would say to them about waiting until they’re 14 to play tackle football. 
“Well, they’re 11, 7, and 4, and have not mentioned playing football at all. I am not going to mention it as well. If they choose to play, I will support them, but I am not going to encourage them in any way to play. I’m just fearful of what concussions can do. And it only takes one … It’s just too risky.” 
“Concussions are going to happen. Whether it be the playground, in the car, elderly falling, sports,” Favre continued. “All sports have concussions. So, I’m not going to encourage them to play until there’s a treatment. Right now it’s all prevention and as we know, you can only do so much and concussions are going to happen.” 
The discovery of CTE has had a large impact on the way the game of football has been played over the past several years. Both college football and the NFL have made major rule changes with the intention of minimizing injuries to the head. 
The targeting rules in college football were implemented in 2013, with players that are flagged for the penalty being ejected from the game with an automatic 15-yard penalty. In the NFL, removing the use of the helmet when tackling has been a major focal point by the league. According to the NFL Communications <a href="https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/Fact%20Sheet%20-%20Use%20of%20the%20Helmet.pdf">website</a>: 
<blockquote>Contact does not have to be to an opponent&#8217;s head or neck area — lowering the head and initiating contact to an opponent&#8217;s torso, hips, and lower body, is also a foul. Violations of the rule will be easier to see and officiate when they occur in open space — as opposed to close line play — but this rule applies anywhere on the field at any time.</blockquote>
Favre has said that he probably had &#8220;thousands&#8221; of concussions in his playing career and that he does experience symptoms that can be attributed to the repeated blows to the head.
“I feel as though I’m lucky, to this point, but … I find that my short-term memory, someone I met six months ago, it has gotten a lot worse,” Favre <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2018/04/12/brett-favre-says-he-suffered-probably-thousands-of-concussions/">said</a> in 2018. “Simple words that would normally come out easy in a conversation, I’ll stammer.”

Brett Favre Encourages Parents To Keep Kids Away From Tackle Football Until Age Fourteen

Football legend Brett Favre blasted the Olympics for allowing biologically male transgender athletes to compete in women&#8217;s sports.
Favre made the comments in relation to the announcement earlier this week of former men&#8217;s weightlifter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/first-openly-transgender-athlete-will-compete-in-olympics-after-dominating-female-weightlifting-competitions">Laurel Hubbard</a> being permitted to compete in the upcoming Olympic Games against biologically female competitors. Hubbard&#8217;s representation of New Zealand makes the weightlifter the first openly transgender athlete at the Games.
&#8220;It&#8217;s a man competing as a woman,&#8221; Favre said on his podcast, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/brett-favre-unfair-transgender-female">Fox News</a> reported. He added: &#8220;That&#8217;s unfair.&#8221;
&#8220;If I was a true female — I can&#8217;t believe I&#8217;m saying that — and I was competing in weightlifting and lost to this person, I would be beside myself,&#8221; said Favre.
&#8220;It&#8217;s not fair for a man, even if this person wants to be a woman or feels compelled — if you want to become the opposite sex, that&#8217;s fine. I got no problem with it. But you can&#8217;t compete against — males cannot compete against females,&#8221; he said.
Favre also commented on transgender BMX Freestyle rider Chelsea Wolfe, who made recent news for remarks the athlete made last year about hoping to burn the American flag on the Olympics podium. As noted by Fox, Wolfe has qualified as an alternate for the upcoming Games.
Wolfe shouldn’t be allowed to compete, Favre contended.
&#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t have her participate in my Olympics; go participate for somebody else. To say that is such a slap in our country&#8217;s face. I can&#8217;t believe this person can be allowed to participate for our country,&#8221; he said.
Favre is certainly not the only athlete to speak out in protection of girls and women&#8217;s sports. As highlighted by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/olympian-sharron-davies-blasts-olympics-allowing-trans-athlete-to-compete-against-women">The Daily Wire</a>, Olympic medalist Sharron Davies criticized the Olympics for separating sport by so-called gender identity, rather than sex.
“We have men &amp; women’s separate competition [for] a BIG reason, biology in sport matters,” Davies posted via Twitter. “Separate categories give females equal opportunities of sporting success.”
The swimmer added that “the average age of a female Olympic weightlifter is 23,” while “Laurel Hubbard is 43. 30% unfair advantage! Sex not gender [for] sport.”
Back in 2019, Davies sounded off on her goal to help protect women’s sports, tweeting, “I have nothing against anyone who wishes [to] be transgender. However, I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex [you are] born with &amp; the gender [you] may identify as. To protect women’s sport those with a male sex advantage should not be able [to] compete in women’s sport.”
“Please please take a look &amp; tell me how this is not going to negatively effect (sic) women’s sport?” Davies wrote in another post, captioning a meme that highlights recent transgender athletes cleaning up against biological girls and women in their respective sports.

Brett Favre, 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and Super Bowl champion, just wants to watch sports. 
“I think both sides, for the most part, want to see it just remain about the sport,” Favre told Andrew Klavan of The Daily Wire. “Not about politics.” 
Favre’s comments come after Major League Baseball&#8217;s decision to move their All-Star Game out of Atlanta in response to Georgia’s Election integrity Act of 2021. His views on keeping sports and politics separate don’t put him in the minority. In fact, whether the Left wants to admit it or not, Americans have little interest in being bombarded with social justice messaging and political activism while sitting down to watch their favorite team play.  
Declining sports television ratings tend to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-new-daily-wire-poll-shows-woke-politics-could-hurt-mlbs-bottom-line">support</a> Favre’s statement. Even the NBA, after seeing viewership decline during the NBA restart in Orlando, decided they had better tone down the political rhetoric during games for the 2020-2021 season. 
“I know when I turn on a game, I want to watch a game,” Favre continued. “I want to watch players play and teams win, lose, come from behind. I want to watch all the important parts of the game, not what’s going on outside of the game, and I think the general fan feels the same way.”
“I can’t tell you how many people have said to me, ‘I don’t want to watch anymore, it’s not about the game anymore.’ And I tend to agree.&#8221;
The recent inundation of politics in sports can be traced back in large part to former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’, who famously began kneeling during the national anthem in 2016. 
“I’m not going to stand up and show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL media in 2016. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
Favre was asked whether current and former NFL players support the protesting of the national anthem before games. “I personally have not had an in depth conversation with any present player. Or for that matter, former players or teammates,” Favre said. “It’s been talked about more in passing.”
“I guess the jury is out on whether it will be a good thing or not. I think it’s created more turmoil than good. But I agree with you 100%,” Favre told Klavan. “Something has to unite us. And the games or sport in the past have been a unification. Now it’s almost like a division.”
Sports without the side of politics. A pretty uncontroversial statement, no?
Evidently, not so for many on the Left.

Favre added that none of this was an issue when he was playing. 
“In fact, that was sort of our protected space, if you will, where we could kind of let our guard down,” Favre continued. “We were in something together. We fought together. We won together. We lost together. We were truly a family. To answer your question, we absolutely didn’t have issues.” 
Favre went on to discuss his support for Donald Trump in the 2020 election, and the controversy that surrounded his support. 
“I knew that it was going to create a firestorm by first playing golf with the president,” Favre said. ‘Which I thought was an honor regardless of who that president is. And by tweeting my support for then President Trump, I knew that would create some more issues.”
“But again, I go back to the people that know me and would speak on my behalf in a positive light. I really don’t worry about it a whole lot. It’s a shame that we’ve come to this.”

NFL Legend Brett Favre Says Kneeling For National Anthem ‘Created More Turmoil Than Good’

Speaking to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2021/01/19/brett-favre-patrick-mahomes-kansas-city-chiefs-afc-championship/">TMZ</a>, former Green Bay Packers and current Hall of Famer Brett Favre — who suffered numerous concussions during his playing career, in which he started an astonishing NFL-record 297 consecutive games — had some advice for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a nasty concussion in Sunday’s AFC Divisional playoff game against the Cleveland Browns.
Favre <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2018/04/12/brett-favre-says-he-suffered-probably-thousands-of-concussions/">told Megyn Kelly</a> in 2018 that he thought he had suffered “probably thousands” of concussions while playing football.
Knowing the Chiefs have a crucial playoff game in the AFC Championship this weekend against the Buffalo Bills, Favre cautioned Mahomes, “When you’re in the moment, and you&#8217;re young, you&#8217;re bulletproof, man. I&#8217;m 51 years old and I&#8217;m wondering what tomorrow will bring because of concussions more than anything.”
Favre also stated, “This is a test for the NFL right now. To see a star player in a crucial, crucial game: what will happen with their decision?”
Favre began, “You know, concussions kind of took a back seat with COVID. And quite frankly, it took a star player, the player that the NFL is riding right now, to get hurt to kind of bring concussions back to the forefront. They’re not going away. We’ve had this conversation before; they’re not going away. They’re extremely dangerous. We’re just finding out we’re just scraping the surface about what it does to the brain, and it’s not good.”
“I hate it for Patrick. The protocol’s in place; let’s see if they follow it,” Favre continued. “I love (Chiefs coach) Andy Reid. I always want him to succeed. He may have to do it next week without Patrick, cause that would — who knows what level of concussion he had? Was it extreme? It didn’t look good at all. You hate to see it because long-term damage can be very awful for any player.”
The TMZ interviewer commented, “This is an independent neurologist having to clear him. Even if he feels like he can play but they don’t clear him, he’s not gonna play next week.”
Favre replied, “I can promise you because I’ve been there: He’s gotta feel absolutely 100% ready to play. And if he has — just say he has a headache on Friday but the previous three or four days he’s fine, is he gonna tell ’em? I doubt it. He wants to play.”
Favre recalled, “For years, up until 10 years ago there was no protocol in place. Once you felt better, which could have been three or four hours, you were back out playing. That’s not the case anymore. He will want to play whether or not he passes the baseline tests that he took initially, and the doctors feel he’s able.”
Favre stated bluntly: “This is a test for the NFL right now. To see a star player in a crucial, crucial game: what will happen with their decision?”
TMZ asked, “What would you say to Patrick?”
“You know, I played 321 straight games, it kind of goes against everything I stood for when I played,” Favre answered. “But, you gotta be smart. You gotta be smart. I was never faced with the decision that he potentially will face this week. And ultimately the decision may fall on the doctors. And if they choose that he doesn’t play, then that’s the right move because of the long-term damage.”
Pointing out the tendency of the young to believe they’re invincible, Favre stated, “And when you’re in the moment, and you&#8217;re young, you&#8217;re bulletproof, man. I&#8217;m 51 years old and I&#8217;m wondering what tomorrow will bring because of concussions more than anything. What’s Patrick, 24 or 25?”
“I had it all figured out,” he concluded. “So I just urge him and all players to be extremely smart.”
