Newt Gingrich: These Two Things Must Happen For Trump To Win 2020

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich predicts President Trump will get four more years in the White House come November 2020 if just two things happen, reports Fox News.

In an interview on “America’s Newsroom,” the former House Speaker said President Trump just needs to stay focused on the job and that the economy needs to continue succeeding if he wants to win in 2020. Beyond that, the Democrats have no chance.

“If the economy stays good and the president stays focused, he’s going to win,” Gingrich said, adding that Trump’s campaign momentum “is all predicated on just tremendous amounts of hard work.”

Gingrich noted that the president’s confidence in his ability to win will be a big factor come election day. “Deep down, I think President Trump’s pretty confident that—when it’s over—he’s going to be re-elected,” he said.

Later, Gingrich praised Trump’s 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, whom he said has the perfect professional pedigree to lead Trump to victory.

“I mean, two things: look at the amount of money Parscale has raised and then look at the size of every one of these rallies,” Gingrich noted.

Indeed, President Trump’s campaign has raised an unprecedented amount of money these past few months of fundraising, with the Republican National Committee (RNC) announcing on Tuesday they raised a record $105 million in the second quarter of 2019. While President Trump may certainly have alienated progressives further to the left, he has not lost the enthusiasm among his base.

“The president already had an unprecedented $40.8 million in cash-on-hand on April 1, 2019,” reports Fox News. “The Republican National Committee and their joint fundraising committees had a combined $82 million cash-on-hand.”

Brad Parscale reiterated many of Gingrich’s predictions for 2020 when appearing on “The Story” with Martha MacCallum Tuesday evening.

“I think the president could beat anybody,” said Parscale. “The momentum we’re seeing right now. I mean look…$105 million raised, a hundred million cash on hand. What we’re seeing overall the president success is overseas, the momentum behind this president right now is like nothing that history has ever seen. I think the president is set for four more years.”

Predictions that President Trump will win in 2020 crosses party lines. In an op-ed for the San Francisco Chronicle, former SF Mayor Willie Brown said that none of the Democrats vying for the nomination can beat Trump come election time.

“The first Democratic debates proved one thing: We still don’t have a candidate who can beat Donald Trump,” Brown wrote. “California Sen. Kamala Harris got all the attention for playing prosecutor in chief, but her case against former Vice President Joe Biden boiled down in some ways to a ringing call for forced school busing. It won’t be too hard for Trump to knock that one out of the park in 2020.”

“Biden did himself zero favors by telling Harris that he opposed only busing that was ordered by the federal government,” Brown continued. “It was a weird endorsement of states’ rights and local jurisdictions’ right to segregate schools. That’s the best argument he could marshal against busing little kids miles across town?”
