A new ad released by former President Donald Trump’s campaign on Friday slams Vice President Kamala Harris as a “copy and paste” candidate as her platform has repeated many of President Joe Biden’s policies.
The Trump campaign argued that the Harris-Walz ticket is pushing the same “failed” economic policies as the Biden administration. The ad highlights a Daily Wire report published on Tuesday that showed the Harris campaign appearing to copy directly from President Joe Biden’s now-defunct campaign website.
“Kamala’s economic plan is Biden’s economic plan,” the Trump ad states. “She is failed, weak, and dangerously liberal.”
Trump Campaign National Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement on Friday, “A vote for Kamala is a vote for another four years of historic inflation, sky high prices, and economic failure. There is only one candidate in this race that made America wealthy and strong, and that candidate is President Donald J. Trump.”
During his debate against Harris on Tuesday night, Trump slammed his opponent on the economy. “She doesn’t have a plan,” he said. “She copied Biden’s plan, and it’s like four sentences like ‘Run, Spot, Run.’ Four sentences that are just, ‘Oh, we’ll try and lower taxes.’ She doesn’t have a plan.”

Harris did not have a policy platform for weeks after she became the Democrats’ de facto nominee in late July. Her team finally posted a policy agenda titled “A New Way Forward” last week. The Democrat’s platform doubles down on leftist policies such as handing out down payment assistance for first-time homeowners and instituting price controls on groceries.

A CNN poll conducted earlier this week showed that more voters who watched the debate trust Trump on the economy after his face-off against Harris than before the debate, with 55% saying they trust Trump’s economic policies compared to 35% who say they trust Harris’ policies.

Trump added during the debate that the U.S. has “inflation like very few people have ever seen before. Probably the worst in our nation’s history. … everybody knows I’m an open book. Everybody knows what I’m going to do. Cut taxes very substantially. And create a great economy like I did before. We had the greatest economy.”
