<p>A new report released last week by a leading U.S. consumer protection organization found that the average cost of owning a home has skyrocketed under President Joe Biden.</p>
<p>The Alliance for Consumers highlighted rules and regulations pushed by the Biden administration that have harmed American families as everyday items cost significantly more.</p>
<p>The report comes as the Federal Reserve has significantly raised interest rates in an effort to lower surging inflation numbers during Biden&#8217;s first two years in office. The impact that inflation had on the costs of household items was <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/consumer-group-exposes-costs-biden-admins-war-home-appliances" target="_blank" rel="noopener">not factored</a> into the Alliance for Consumers&#8217; report.</p>
<p>The organization estimated that the total price tag of Biden&#8217;s rules and regulations on American homeowners could be upwards of $9,000.</p>
<p>Alliance for Consumers released a graphic titled “Biden’s Dream House” that broke down all the ways Americans are seeing the cost of home ownership increase during the Biden administration.</p>
<p>Highlights from the report included:</p>

<li><b>Gas furnaces</b>: $494 increase &#8211; This figure comes from the Biden administration&#8217;s push for increasing energy efficiency standards for residential gas furnaces.</li>
<li><b>Light bulbs</b>: $140 increase &#8211; This figure comes from the Biden administration&#8217;s new light bulb standards.</li>
<li><b>Air conditioning</b>: $1,100 increase &#8211; This figure comes from the Biden administration banning R-22 refrigerants.</li>
<li><b>Water heaters</b>: $2,800 increase &#8211; This figure comes from the Biden administration&#8217;s push for higher-efficiency water heaters.</li>
<li><b>Washing machines</b>: $200 increase &#8211; This figure comes from the Biden administration&#8217;s energy efficiency standards, which manufacturers say will increase costs.</li>
<li><b>Dishwashers</b>: $225 increase &#8211; This figure comes from a Biden administration proposal that would restrict how much water can be used by residential dishwashers, which could lead to damage to the machines and drains.</li>
<li><b>Cars</b>: $932 increase &#8211; This figure comes from a Biden administration proposed automotive fuel economy regulation that would increase costs on SUVs and trucks.</li>
<li><b>Ceiling fans</b>: $25 increase &#8211; This figure comes from proposed Biden administration regulations that would increase costs.</li>
<li><strong>Gas stoves</strong>: $800-$3,250 increase &#8211; This figure comes from proposals from the Biden administration that could potentially ban the use of gas appliances.</li>
