Philadelphia Eagles rookie guard Joshua Sills has been placed on the NFL’s Commissioner Exempt List following his indictment earlier this week on two felony charges — rape and kidnapping — and new details about the alleged incident have emerged as well.

Sills’ will remain on that list – which bars him from playing, practicing, or traveling with the team — until the league conducts a thorough review of the situation in light of the league’s rules regarding personal conduct. With the Eagles headed to the Super Bowl in just ten days, it seems unlikely that Sills will be taken off the list in time to make the trip.

According to a report published by TMZ Sports, Sills allegedly restrained a woman in his truck in early December of 2019, forcing her to perform oral sex on him after he gave her and a cousin a ride home from a nearby restaurant.

According to the police report, which TMZ obtained, the unnamed woman stated that Sills had driven her and a cousin home — and after her cousin got out of the truck and entered the house, she alleged that Sills grabbed her and pulled her back into the truck. Her statement said the cousin “did not think anything of it and shut the door and walked into the house.”

The woman then claimed that Sills had tried to kiss her, grabbing her by the neck and throwing her down on the seat. He allegedly continued to grope her while she fought back and told him “no” a number of times.

She said that Sills had pulled her down in his lap then, telling her that “she was doing this and was not leaving until she did this” — and allegedly forced her to perform oral sex for about 20 minutes. The police report noted that the woman had a number of injuries following the alleged assault — bruising at the back of her throat and on her inner lip, on her right ear and on the back of her left knee — and that they had taken photos to document everything at the time the report was made.

Sills was indicted on felony rape and kidnapping charges and has been ordered to appear in court on February 16.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles issued a statement addressing the issue: “The organization is aware of the legal matter involving Josh Sills. We have been in communication with the league office and are in the process of gathering more information. We have no further comment at this time.”
