President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden were hit by a troll in a Christmas eve call.
But NBC News had a different take on the incident.
“President Joe Biden was subjected to a right-wing anti-Biden slur during a Christmas Eve call with NORAD’s Santa tracker,” the network said in a story posted online.
“Biden and the first lady were speaking with families around the country who had called into the North American Aerospace Defense Command to receive an update on Santa’s location when one parent ended the conversation by saying: ‘Let’s go Brandon.’ The president did not appear to recognize that the phrase is used by the right wing as a euphemism for ‘F*** Joe Biden,’ and responded: ‘Let’s go Brandon, I agree.’”
“Let’s Go Brandon” has swept the nation. On October 2, an NBC sports reporter interviewing NASCAR driver Brandon Brown at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama after Brown scored his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series win stated in a video that the crowd was chanting “Let’s go, Brandon!” when in reality they were chanting “F*** Joe Biden,” The Daily Wire reported.
And the “F*** Joe Biden” chant has exploded across the U.S. in the past few months, with college football crowds booming out the refrain in unison as they gather in huge stadiums.
“This holiday weekend, as the Old Row Sports Twitter account extensively documented, saw many appearances of both versions of the chant, ranging from that preferred by Christian conservatives at Jerry-Fallwell-founded Liberty University to the much-earthier version, including one spelled out on the type of sign normally seen at road-construction sites,” The Western Journal reported.
In October, Outkick chronicled the explosion of the chant:
Fans chanting “F–k Joe Biden” at stadiums from Tennessee to Alabama to Oxford, Mississippi is quickly becoming the battle cry for football fans across the country as the citizens of this country continue to show disobedience to the great [Emperor] and his presidency.
The big news this week with the “F–k Joe Biden” chant movement is that it has spread from college football and into the baseball community, where New Yorkers chanted “F–k Joe Biden” during Fox Sports’ weekend coverage of the Subway Series. Fans could be heard sending a message to Biden as ARod and Big Papi dissected the Yankees-Mets game.
Also in October, four of the Top 10 songs on iTunes all had the same title — “Let’s Go Brandon.”
In No. 1 was “Let’s Go Brandon (feat. Tyson James & Chandler Crump)” by Bryson Gray, and in the No. 2 spot was “Let’s Go Brandon (Extended Version)” by Loza Alexander. The two songs knocked out “Easy On Me” by Adele.
In the No. 4 spot was another version of Alexander’s song, and a third version, “Let’s Go Brandon (Loza Alexander Remix)” by Godz Child, held down the No. 7 slot.
In the Alexander hit, the rapper “chants the iconic anti-Biden mantra and is immediately followed by a sample of a crowd chanting the original line, the more rough-and-ready ‘F*ck Joe Biden,’” writes The Post-Millennial.
“Alexander can be seen in the video wearing a red MAGA-style hat with white lettering on it which reads ‘Make Music Great Again’ and rapping about how many Americans are experiencing regret and how he feels vindicated due to the poor performance of the Biden administration,” the site said.
