MSNBC Gets Rid of Melissa Harris-Perry. Here Are Her 5 Worst Moments.

   DailyWire.com

Left-wing cable news network MSNBC has cut ties with Melissa Harris-Perry after the controversial host boycotted her own show on Saturday, accusing NBC executives of essentially racist behavior.

In an email addressed to co-workers, Harris-Perry complained about losing “editorial control” and “empty airtime,” before invoking the language of slavery to describe her plight.

“I will not be used as a tool for their purposes,” wrote Harris-Perry. “I am not a token, mammy or little brown bobble head. I am not owned by [NBC executives] or MSNBC. I love our show. I want it back.”

The racially charged rhetoric comes as no surprise to viewers familiar with Harris-Perry’s history of race-baiting. Harris-Perry is perhaps the farthest thing from a serious journalist. She’s biased, prejudiced, and incendiary for all the wrong reasons. She’s bad even by MSNBC standards, a network that gave tax-evader extraordinaire Al Sharpton his own show.

Now, Harris-Perry has hit rock-bottom, pulling out her handy, worn-out race card once again, and whining about something most Americans could only dream about: a personal cable news show aired during primetime hours. Alas, for professional griper Harris-Perry that wasn’t enough.

While there are a bevy of horrible moments to choose from, here are 5 of Harris-Perry’s worst moments as the sanctimonious host of her eponymous, now former show on MSNBC:

1. Star Wars is racist.

The Daily Wire’s James Barrett explains:

On her [Sunday show] , MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry lamented the racist implications of Star Wars villain Darth Vader, who she said was “totally a black guy” while he was “cutting off white men’s hands” until he suddenly became a white guy after being reformed by his son.

The comments came during a discussion about upcoming blockbuster of blockbusters Star Wars: The Force Awakens. After discussing the sexism of Princess Leia’s slave costume (Disney is reportedly pulling all the “Slave Leia” merchandise, by the way), Harris-Perry said she has “a lot” of “feelings” about Star Wars, particularly regarding the iconic villain Darth Vader.

Harris-Perry’s seemingly unscripted tirade was incoherent at best. Here’s part of the host’s bizarre digression:

Yeah, like, the part where he was totally a black guy whose name basically was James Earl Jones, who … while he was black, he was terrible and bad and awful and used to cut off white men’s hands—and didn’t, you know, actually claim his son.

But as soon as he claims his son and goes over to the good, he takes off his mask and he is white. Yes, I have many, many feelings about that, but I will try to put them over here.

2. Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan can’t be a “hard worker” because he wasn’t a slave.

No, this isn’t satire. The woman actually believes that the term “hard worker” has a racial connotation, one that alludes to chattel slavery. As The Daily Wire’s Chase Stephens reported:

Melissa Harris-Perry, while hosting a panel discussion on MSNBC about Paul Ryan’s potential new job as Speaker of House, almost had a stroke when her guest suggested that Ryan was a hard worker. Harris-Perry proceeded to tell him that she “keeps an image of folks working in the cotton fields on her wall.” Yes. This is real life.

Here’s the full quote for your gawking pleasure:

I want us to be super careful when we use the language `hard worker,’ because I actually keep an image of folks working in cotton fields on my office wall, because it is a reminder about what hard work looks like. So, I feel you that he’s a hard worker, I do, but in the context of relative privilege.

3. Socialism didn’t work in the United States because Americans are too racist.

In an interview with a fellow Leftist “journalist,” Harris-Perry implied that the main thing keeping socialism from influencing this country is the racist impulses of the “system” and “privilege,” buzzwords for every tinfoil conspiracy theorist and racial agitator the world over.

“According to Harris-Perry and Wright, ‘race and racial privilege’ organize our politics while our capitalism sorts people by race’” noted The Daily Wire’s Amanda Prestigiacomo. “These ideas, not liberty, individualism and freedom, have kept socialism at bay for the United States.”

Here’s an excerpt from the now-infamous interview with The Nation’s Kai Wright. Predictably, Harris-Perry begins by asking a leading, rhetorical question about the interplay of capitalism and racism:

WRIGHT: Let me see. Could it be race?

HARRIS-PERRY: Could it be? I mean that becomes the kind of standard story, right, is that in this country, race and racial privilege has trumped class identity as a way of organizing our politics.

WRIGHT: Well, I mean so we could go way back, right, I mean the whole — if we`re talking about capitalism in the first instance. The whole system globally was built on slavery. The modern economy was built – the cotton was built on cotton which was built on financing, financing slaves. And so from that moment forward, we`ve been in a discussion about capitalism in the United States that has, in fact, sorted people by race. And you can’t — and so when we get back to sort of the public investments that we make in people and that part of democratic socialism that has been challenged and difficult particularly in modern times because, coming out of the Great Society, coming out of the mid-20th century, we have had a politics that makes those public investments giveaways to black people.

4. It’s racist to show a female terrorist in hijab.

While the country mourned the deaths of the Americans gunned down in broad daylight by the San Bernardino radical Islamic terrorists, social justice warrior Melissa Harris-Perry ranted about The New York Times’ supposed Islamophobia. Their crime was showing a picture of barbaric female Muslim terrorist Tashfeen Malik wearing a hijab. According to Harris-Perry, this made the paper racist, because it equated the hijab with terrorism; nevermind the fact that the Islamic terrorist was proudly wearing a hijab at the time of the vicious attack.

Despite what Harris-Perry may have implied, The New York Times did not photoshop a hijab on the female jihadist. In an interview with terrorist-apologist Linda Sarsour, Harris-Perry alleged that the photo misrepresented Islam and terrorism. She failed to offer an intelligible justification to back-up her ludicrous claims.

Here’s a video of the “Islamophobia” circus, as performed by Harris-Perry and Sarsour:

5. Republicans pray to “anti-Muslim” God.

Like every good Leftist, Harris-Perry has gone out of her way to religion-shame conservatives. In a pedantic segment about the nature of “prayer,” the MSNBC host claimed that while Muslims pray to God in a public and glorious way, others, ostensibly the GOP, engages in prayer rituals that are inherently “anti-Muslim” or “counter Islamic.”

Here’s the Islam-friendly host’s full quote:

I keep feeling like when we say ‘I’m praying’ that we think we’re praying to some kind of god that is anti-Muslim, that is counter-Islamic – and, that we consistently will see Muslims in prayer as somehow dangerous, threatening – as opposed to prayerful and sacred practice.

Harris-Perry’s comments came just days after 14 people were killed and 22 others injured in a mass terrorist attack at a holiday party in San Bernardino.
