MORON ALERT: Sen. Richard Blumenthal Claims Justice System Is ‘For Sale’

   DailyWire.com

The Democratic Party cannot keep its narrative straight when it comes to the vacancy left by Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court of the United States. At first, Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) moronically stated that the vacancy was “stolen” from Chief Judge Merrick Garland upon President Trump’s election to the presidency. Afterward, Sen. Tom Udall (D-NM) talked about putting both Judge Neil Gorsuch and Garland onto the Court simultaneously.

Now, another high-ranking Democrat added more irrational commentary to stir up the Democrats’ base. On March 29, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) took to Twitter to create a new narrative about the Republicans and President Trump, claiming that they were placing the justice system “up for sale.”

By Sen. Blumenthal’s shoddy logic, the Republicans’ push to nominate Gorsuch to the Supreme Court stemmed from special interests who were “buying out” votes. In addition, Blumenthal continued the same terrible logic that Sen. Merkley used in claiming that the Republicans stole the judicial vacancy, leaving it to the highest bidder. This is completely insane.

First, part of the reason why President Trump won the election was his promise to nominate an originalist to the Supreme Court. Since he won the election fairly, Trump has a constitutional responsibility to nominate a justice to the Supreme Court. Second, the majority in the United States Senate upheld its constitutional duty to advise and consent the President of the United States to find the best nominee. In a process that many considered to be extraordinarily transparent, Trump nominated Gorsuch, who has responded admirably to numerous failed attacks by Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Furthermore, Blumenthal echoed the same ridiculous talking point elaborated by Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT): that the Federalist Society and the Heritage Foundation spent ridiculous sums of money to push Gorsuch on the candidates. This is nothing but textbook conspiratorial nonsense and a scare tactic that paints the portrait of big, bad conservative entities looking to take away people’s rights. Not only is this absurd, it is completely moronic, because the way Gorsuch earned the nomination was transparent, constitutional, and entirely fair.

This should not surprise anyone because Blumenthal has a history of fabricating nonsense in order to promulgate a narrative.

This should not surprise anyone because Blumenthal has a history of fabricating nonsense in order to promulgate a narrative. He lied about his service in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War era and was forced to apologize in 2010 after he fibbed to a bunch of veterans that he had served. In addition, he attempted to smear Jeff Sessions during his confirmation hearing as Attorney General by linking him to the David Horowitz Freedom Center, insinuating that Horowitz made false claims about Muslims.

The Democrats are desperately trying to find ways to smear Judge Gorsuch before he gets confirmed on the Supreme Court. Unfortunately for Blumenthal, their idiotic tactics are falling flat.
