Michelle Williams Admits To Being ‘Paralyzed’ Upon Learning Mark Wahlberg Earned More Money

Remember the big controversy in late 2017 when feminists learned that Mark Wahlberg earned more than Michelle Williams on reshoots for the movie “All the Money in the World”? Well, it’s back in the news again.

According to Fox News, Michelle Williams made an appearance in D.C. earlier this week to advocate for the Paycheck Fairness Act in honor of Equal Pay Day, where she admitted to feeling “paralyzed” upon learning that Wahlberg earned more than she did at the time, ignoring the fact he was easily the most bankable movie star of 2017.

“It’s the kind of story I would normally resist: the morality tale with a happy ending, or rather a happy beginning because that’s really why I’m here,” Williams began. “There won’t be satisfaction for me until I can exhaust my efforts ensuring that all women experience the elevation of their self-worth and its connection to the elevation of their market worth.”

“In late 2017, the news broke that I’d been paid less than $1,000 compared to the $1.5 million that my male counterpart had received for the exact same amount of work,” she continued. “And guess what, no one cared. This came as no surprise to me, it simply reinforced my life-learned belief that equality is not an inalienable right and that women would always be working just as hard for less money while shouldering more responsibility in their homes. When the news passed as quickly as it had broken I sat paralyzed in feelings of futility.”

Mark Wahlberg earned $1.5 million to re-shoot scenes on “All the Money in the World,” which was highly necessary after accused sexual predator Kevin Spacey was edited out and replaced with Christopher Plummer. Wahlberg’s price tag for his time on set was of little issue to feminists, it was the fact that his co-star Michelle Williams — a woman — earned just $80 a day for her scenes. Little did it matter to them that Wahlberg’s contract said nothing about post-production re-shoots, which required him to renegotiate his own fees to handle his late-in-time work. There was also that not-so-insignificant Forbes article that hailed Wahlberg as the highest paid actor of 2017.

After receiving criticism, Mark Wahlberg donated the $1.5 million to the “Time’s Up” campaign.

Michelle Williams has seriously stepped up her feminist street cred in recent days. On top of her equal pay advocacy, she plans to star in the pro-abortion movie “This is Jane.”

According to LifeNews, “This Is Jane” will tell the true story surrounding the illegal pro-abortion group called “The Jane Collective,” who formed “an underground network responsible for thousands of U.S. illegal abortions in the ’60s and ’70s.” Michelle Williams will be playing the group’s founder, Jenny.

Williams will also serve as a producer on the project, which is based on Laura Kaplan’s nonfiction book “The Story of Jane: The Legendary Underground Feminist Abortion Service.”

The film is likely to do poorly, only further underscoring why Williams earned less than Mark Wahlberg, who has stayed away from politics and has even said Hollywood elites should learn that the American people are tired of being told what to do by millionaires.
