Michelle Fields Reacts to ‘Awful’ Situation with Trump Campaign, Breitbart News

Nearly breaking into tears, former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields appeared on Fox News’ The Kelly File on Friday night to discuss her criminal complaint issued after reportedly being forcefully grabbed by Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski at Palm Beach on Tuesday night.

Fields — backed up by video evidence, a corroborating account from Washington Post reported Ben Terris, and a photo of the actual bruises on her arm allegedly from the encounter — told host Megyn Kelly that the whole ordeal has been “awful” and the “worst experience” she has gone through other than her own father’s death.

(Fields’ comments about her treatment begin at the 8:30-mark)

After Kelly walked through all the damning evidence of the reported assault with Fields, the Fox News host asked Fields how it felt to have the Trump campaign call her an “attention seeker” and effectively try to assassinate her character, seemingly to render her discredited.

“It feels awful, this has to be — aside from my father’s death — the worst experience I’ve gone through,” started Michelle, fighting through her own emotions. “The hate that I have received, the email messages, I’m sure, Megyn, you can understand and sympathize with some of the stuff I have received, but it’s been awful.”

Kelly was also once on the receiving end of Trump-controversy after the frontrunner blasted Kelly for her “unfair” questions at a debate, saying she had “blood coming out of her wherever.” Lewandowski even issued threats to Kelly, essentially warning the host not to ask such “unfair” questions to his boss.

“How do you feel Breitbart has treated you, Michelle?” asked the Fox News host.

“Ben Shapiro has been amazing — he’s our editor-at-large — he’s been really good,” said Fields. Shapiro, Daily Wire editor-in-chief, has been outspoken in his defense of Fields in spite of Breitbart News running their own story trying to discredit Fields’ own account. Shapiro has since resigned over the mishandling of the incident by Breitbart News.

Kelly followed up, “But the editors [at Breitbart News] themselves have cast doubt on your story, coming right out and saying ‘It was unlikely that Lewandowski was the person who caused your injusries.'”

“I don’t have anything to say,” answered Fields. “The facts show this happened, and it is a shame that my bosses have decided to come out against the facts.”

Here’s the video featured on The Kelly File seemingly showing Lewandowski grabbing Ms. Fields.

I think that’s that, folks. @CLewandowski_ did indeed grab her. pic.twitter.com/9hkPpLlIzh
