Men Shouting ‘Black Lives Matter’ Beat Up Seven White Males

Early Sunday morning in Akron, Ohio, a group of men chanting “Black Lives Matter” allegedly attacked seven white males, throwing bottles and punches and kicking one victim in the head several times until he blacked out.

“A group of men chanting ‘Black Lives Matter’ was accused of viciously beating up seven white victims in Akron early Sunday morning,” reports Akron’s 19 WOIO.

The police report states that the attack, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. early Sunday, was carried out by seven men, five black and two white, who chanted the racially and politically charged slogan before assaulting the white men.

“The suspects started hitting them with bottles, punching and kicking the victims,” reports WOIO. “One victim fell to the ground and was kicked in the head several times before losing consciousness. The suspects then took the victims’ belongings before running off. ”

The suspects were arrested after both the Akron police and University of Akron officers responded to calls. Their names, charges and the mugshots of six of them have since been released. The charges include felonious assault, robbery, riot, and receiving stolen property. “Hate crime” is not cited. (Mugshots below, see more details on the charges here.)

This is not the first time that a group repeating that particular slogan has attacked a white person, nor is it the first time that hate crime charges were not brought despite the apparent racial motivation of the attack. In a recent case, decorated Marine veteran Christopher Marquez was attacked and robbed by two teenagers after they asked him if “black lives matter” and called him a “racist.” The male teen was charged with aggravated assault and the female with pickpocketing, but neither were charged with a hate crime. “I’m telling this to everybody because it’s been happening a lot around here and across our country. It was a hate crime. They targeted me because of my skin color,” Marquez told Fox News in February.

That hate crimes appear to only go one way follows the racist illogic of the left, which Ebony editor Jamilah Lemieux expressed on CNN in July, after a Black Lives Matter sympathizer who “wanted to kill white people” murdered five white Dallas officers:

“[W]hen we use a phrase like ‘hate crime,’ we’re typically referring to crimes against people of color, people of various religious groups, LGBT people, people who have been historically attacked, abused or disenfranchised on the basis of their identity,” said Lemieux (video below). “To now extend that to the majority group and a group of people that have a history with African-Americans that has been abusive – and we can apply that to either police officers or to Caucasians – I think gets into very tricky territory.”

So there you go: White people cannot be victims of hate crimes. Case, and all future cases, closed.
