Donald Trump loves to surround himself with thugs. That’s why he hired Corey Lewandowski, the machismo bully that assaults women for asking questions. With a campaign built upon performative masculinity, Trump needs to project power in order to maintain the image of a “winner.” It should be no surprise then the Trump campaign staged a convicted felon to stand alongside the GOP front-runner at a recent rally in New York.
“Dale Robert Javino was seen chanting his support for the Republican front-runner under the banner of the New York Veteran Police Association (NYVPA) event on Staten Island on April 17 and then posed for pictures alongside the candidate,” reports the Daily Mail (UK). “The 55-year-old wore a hat with NYVPA written on the front, but Newsday has uncovered that he was never in the line of duty.”
Javino is actually just the opposite of a police officer. He’s a convicted felon. The tough-looking gentleman was convicted in 1991 for hanging out outside of a couple’s home with a Molotov cocktail in his hand. Apparently, Javino wanted to play Eastern European anarchist for a day.

Here’s what court documents say about the case:
In August 1990, Javino had been involved in a dispute with Michael Constantino and Lynn Fitzgerald, residents of Amsterdam, New York, and had threatened to kill them.
Just after midnight on August 3, Constantino and/or Fitzgerald observed Javino in an automobile lurking near their home, at times driving slowly by, and for a time parked nearby with its lights off.
Fitzgerald reported to Amsterdam police that as the car drove by she had seen a gun sticking out of the window. Shortly thereafter, the police stopped the car, which was owned and driven by Milton Block and in which Javino was a passenger.
In plain view on the back seat of the car was an incendiary bomb consisting, in part, of a 40-ounce Dole glass juice bottle nearly filled with clear liquid; attached to the bottle with electrical tape was a large explosive and detonation device with a wick.
Javino is actually just the opposite of a police officer. He’s a convicted felon.
Teddy Roosevelt said, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” Trump clearly doesn’t speak all that softly. He’s a loud-mouthed buffoon that issues more threats than a Latin American dictator.
Here’s the worst part, though. The Manhattan billionaire isn’t actually a tough-guy. He just plays one on television. Why carry a big stick with your small hands when you could just have a convicted felon wield a crowbar on your behalf?
