<p>Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas struggled during an interview over the weekend when pressed about the Biden administration&#8217;s repeated failures to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.</p>
<p>Mayorkas was pressed hard over his failures during a Sunday interview with Martha Raddatz on ABC News&#8217; &#8220;This Week&#8221; while talking about Biden&#8217;s border crisis.</p>
<p>Raddatz asked him about Biden&#8217;s executive order from last week that critics and experts have widely panned as &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-signs-weak-executive-order-to-address-his-border-crisis-after-claiming-he-couldnt-do-it">weak</a>&#8220;, which also comes after Biden previously claimed that he couldn&#8217;t use executive orders to fix the problem.</p>
<p>&#8220;This has been in place for five days now. What has the impact been?&#8221; Raddatz asked. &#8220;How many migrants have been turned away between those ports of entry?&#8221;</p>
<p>Mayorkas refused to answer the question and said that they were only at a &#8220;very early stage&#8221; in implementing the executive order.</p>

<p>Raddatz later showed Mayorkas a clip from an interview that she did with him in March 2021 where Mayorkas said at the time: &#8220;We have seen large numbers of migration in the past. We know how to address it. We have a plan. We are executing on our plan and we will succeed. This is what we do. But one thing is also clear, that it takes time. It&#8217;s tough, but we can do it. This is what we do, and we will accomplish our mission.&#8221;</p>
<p>Raddatz then noted that many millions of illegal aliens have flooded into the U.S. under Biden and that little has changed over the last three years.</p>
<p>&#8220;It would be very hard to call that a success,&#8221; she said.</p>
