Bestselling author and podcast host Matt Walsh on Wednesday shared a video clip on the first day of “Pride Month,” which happened to be a clip from Walsh’s highly anticipated documentary, titled, “What Is a Woman?”
The doc, which challenges radical gender theory, will be available to stream exclusively for Daily Wire members on June 1 at 8 p.m. ET. You can become a member here.
“Here’s a nice video to share for #PrideMonth,” Walsh captioned the video clip.
“I spoke to an African tribe about transgenderism. The Left claims that traditional cultures have fluid notions of gender,” the author explained. “That’s… not exactly what I found.”
“More in the full film, What Is A Woman, premiering tonight on the Daily Wire,” Walsh added.
The African tribe explained to Walsh that biological males and females have different functions and that a man cannot become a woman.
“A woman has its own duty, and a man has its own duty,” a tribesman told Walsh. “And a lady cannot do the duty of a man, and a man cannot do a duty of a woman.”
Asked about people who identify as “non-binary,” a tribesman replied to Walsh, “We have never seen things like those. For a man has a penis, and woman has a vagina.”
“What if it’s a woman with a penis?” Walsh asked.
Reacting to the question, the tribe broke out into laughter.

Walsh also posted a quote from a tribesman about being transgender.
“‘If you want to become a lady but you’re a man, you have something wrong in your family. Something wrong in you.’ — African tribesman. I’m just reporting what he said. Don’t shoot the messenger.”

Walsh also interviewed gender experts and others in the movement for the documentary. “What is a Woman?” exposes that the core of gender ideology is “hollow,” he said.
“I sought out experts in every field in the gender theory world — doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, politicians, activists, and transgender people themselves — and I put the question to them directly,” Walsh explained. “I found — and you’ll see in the film — their arguments collapsed not with hammer blows or a hard push, but with simple questions, because the core of gender ideology is hollow.”
