Former President Barack Obama gave a speech Friday where he insisted millions of Americans were paranoid and resentful while claiming we need to be more united. On Saturday morning, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) – or rather, one of his staffers, most likely – tweeted an epic response to the divisiveness pushed by Obama.
Rubio followed that up by reminding his followers that Obama once joked “about former First Lady Nancy Reagan conducting seances.”
Rubio then put out a quote from Obama where he claimed people who weren’t doing well “get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
The next tweet included a quote from Obama blaming Republicans for his need to ignore the Constitution.
Another tweet referenced that time Obama told Hispanics to vote against the GOP, whom he referred to as “enemies.”
Finally, Rubio recalled the time when Obama compared those who opposed the Iran Deal to the Iranians who chant “Death to America.”
