Most Annoying Person On Planet Earth™ Katy Perry has somehow managed to break the annoyance barrier. The pop star with a lower IQ than a Pop-Tart has been publicly grappling with her Che Guevara complex ever since the election loss of her goddess Hillary Clinton, and it looks like that struggle finally manifested itself into a song — a no-good, painfully terrible song.
On Thursday night, Perry released the politically-charged song called “Chained to the Rhythm,” which is seemingly based on a dystopian, totalitarian society, reminiscent of George Orwell’s 1984.

The lyrics suggest that Americans are distracted from their lack of freedom, presumably under weeks-old President Donald Trump, by their affluent lives. We aren’t all sipping champagne on yachts like Ms. Perry, but nevertheless.
Some of the lyrics include: “Are we crazy? / Living our lives through a lens” and “Trapped in our white picket fence / Like ornaments.” The chorus laments Americans “living in a bubble.”

Generally speaking, I’m all for anything that encourages Americans to be skeptical of government, but my goodness this song couldn’t be more displeasing to the ears, or hypocritical coming from Perry. The singer is a left-wing activist who routinely pushes for big-government. She was a surrogate for Mrs. It Takes A Village, for goodness sake.
Please Katy, give us all a break and stop crying because your candidate lost.
Perry is set to sing at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, and I’d bet my next paycheck it’ll be politically-charged.
