On Tuesday, Target released a statement via their corporate webpage declaring that they “welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity,” citing “inclusivity” and “equality and equity” as their rationale.
“Inclusivity is a core belief at Target,” says the statement. “It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.”
Undoubtedly, the little girls sharing the bathrooms and fitting rooms with grown men who claim to “identify” as women certainly feel “respected” as well. As do their bigoted parents, we’re sure.
“We believe that everyone — every team member, every guest, and every community — deserves to be protected from discrimination, and treated equally,” continues the statement. “Consistent with this belief, Target supports the federal Equality Act, which provides protections to LGBT individuals, and opposes action that enables discrimination.”
Finally, Target declares: “[W]e welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”
Target, being the moral giant that it is, is now allowing men who “identify” as women into the same fitting rooms as changing little girls. But as The Federalist contributor David Marcus recently pointed out, there is no concrete definition of “transgender.” This, of course, makes it impossible to definitively differentiate from a predator or a man who genuinely “identifies” as a woman.
“[W]e welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”

Apparently, this is a small price that Target is gladly willing to pay, because “inclusivity” and “equality” and “insert buzzword here.”
What could possible go wrong?
