Country star Luke Bryan shared an update with his fans after axing a third show on his Country on Tour concert series due to an illness.
The 47-year-old posted a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying he had a “frustrating weekend” after postponing a show in Utah on Friday, being forced to cancel another in Idaho on Saturday, and pulling out of a third in Washington on Sunday at the Watershed Festival.
“Shedders, I am sorry to let you down but I am not back singing – can hardly even talk still,” Bryan posted to his 9.2 million followers.
“This festival is one of the most beautiful places we perform and one of the most fun crowds always,” he added. “I know my friends on the show will bring a great time for you! Show them all what you got. Love ya – Luke.”

President of Live Nation Country, Brian O’Connell, later revealed that Lainey Wilson would be filling in for Bryan, adding that a partial refund would be issued for ticket holders.
“We’re also going to be issuing a refund for 1/3 of your base price festival wristband for this lineup change,” O’Connell said. “The refund will be processed within 10–14 days. It’ll be automatically credited. There’s nothing else that you need to do. We are so looking forward to an amazing Sunday here at Watershed Festival.”
Hours before Bryan was set to take the stage on Friday, the country superstar announced he would have to postpone his show in Salt Lake City.
Dear Salt Lake fans, for the past couple of weeks I’ve been battling a head cold. I have been spending those days warming up and singing and have been able to perform. Today I have followed the same routine trying to not give up but I am just not getting better. I truly can not…
