Shannon Sharpe, one of the top NFL tight ends in history, teed off on former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown for taking “a shot” at Tom Brady’s wife amid the couple’s marital woes and for a recent controversy that erupted surrounding his conduct at a Middle East hotel earlier this year.
Sharpe made the remarks during a rant on Fox Sports’ “Undisputed” and later posted his remarks in a video on Twitter.
Brown posted a photo of Tom Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, with her arms wrapped around Brown’s neck following Tampa Bay’s 2021 Super Bowl victory over Kansas City, writing: “Put that S*** On.”
The post from Brown comes as news broke Tuesday that Brady and Bündchen have reportedly hired divorce lawyers after they recently had a nasty fight.
“AB’s a clown and he’s been a clown for the longest —,” Sharpe said. “He’s done in the NFL. Nobody’s gonna waste their time, and last night took the cake for me. I’m done… After he posted Tom Brady’s wife and said what he said. That man took your ass in. That man revived your career. Nobody was gonna give you a chance. And you take a shot at this man’s wife?”
Sharpe said that all Brown is doing is “harming himself” and he wishes that someone could reach out to Brown and tell him to “slow it down.”
Sharpe also sounded off over the recent controversy involving Brown allegedly exposing himself to a woman in Dubai, saying that it is obvious that Brown is surrounding himself with bad influences because people could be heard in the background cheering on the behavior.
“And people at home, I want y’all to stop this, when a black person is trying to correct another black person, stop talking this bull[crap] about somebody trying to bring them down,” Sharpe continued. “Y’all want people to just let bull[crap] go? … No! It’s wrong! And it’s okay to correct them when they’re wrong because we see where this is heading. Stop this!”

Regarding the recent controversy involving Brown, the New York Post reported that Brown, 34, was caught “shoving his bare buttocks into the face of a stunned woman” while both were in the swimming pool and that he later lifted “his manhood out of the water” and whipped “it in her direction.”
Brown responded to the report on Twitter, claiming that “disinformation” was coming out about him. “Ironically, during a time when the NFL is getting heat for allowing players to play when they’re clearly concussed,” Brown added. “They’ve been using black men as guinea pigs.”
Brown’s remarks were in reference to Miami Dolphins star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa getting rushed to the hospital late last week after sustaining a head injury while being sacked by a defensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Every chance they get to sway the heat off themselves they use me. In the video you can clearly see she runs off with my swim trunks,” Brown continued. “If roles were reversed the headlines would read ‘AB having a wild night with nude female.’ Yet when it’s me it automatically becomes a hate crime.”
The report said that Brown had just met the woman and that she was reportedly “fuming” after the encounter.
