Leftists Mad At Ronda Rousey For ‘Transphobia’

   DailyWire.com

Salon, the energizer Bunny (certainly not the Playboy Bunny) of the War on Women, has targeted “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, the first and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, and the last Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion, as a horrible role model for women.

How can this be? Feminist icon Beyonce used a full speech of Rousey’s before her Made in America Festival performance, while LeBron James, Shaq, Chris Pratt, Hope Solo, Sylvester Stallone, Aaron Rodgers, and Dwayne “The Rock Johnson” all lauded her before she stepped into the ring.

Rousey is famous for not taking s*** from anyone, which normally would merit celestial praise from the feminist-obsessed rag, but she incurred the wrath of Salon. Why?

Simple. She made “trans-phobic” comments.

After UFC fighter Matt Mitrione called transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox a “lying, sick, sociopathic, disgusting freak,” the Rousey told the New York Post that Mitrione may have expressed himself “extremely poorly” and she could “understand the UFC doesn’t want to be associated with views like that,” – but she added: “She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it’s still the same bone structure a man has.”

Well, yes, that’s true.

“She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it’s still the same bone structure a man has.”

Rousey continued, “What if she became UFC champion and we had a transgender women’s champion? It’s a very socially difficult situation.”

Good point.

Salon then attempts to smear Rousey by quoting her “do-nothing bitch” speech, in which she postulated:

I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be and I call it a “do-nothing bitch.” The kind of chick that just, like, tries to be pretty and be taken care of by somebody else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious, like, that people like say that my body looks masculine or something like that. I’m just like, listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f**king millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as f**k. Because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose. Because I’m not a do-nothing bitch.”

Salon huffs, “Being proud of your body is great. Burying other women because they have a different body than yours is not.”

Did we mention that Rousey’s speech just happened to be the same one Beyonce played in toto before her performance?

Salon tries again, noting Rousey punched her boyfriend after discovering he had taken nude pictures of her without asking her for permission. After winning the ESPY’s “Best Fighter of the Year” award, she ripped Floyd Mayweather for his history of domestic violence, joking, “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once.” Salon then points out Rousey had admitted punching her former boyfriend “with a straight right, then a left hook,” when he blocked her way through a door, although Salon seems conflicted, writing, “Rousey had a right to make Mr. McCreepy move out of her way, and what he did to her was extremely wrong, but the incident seems a bit excessive nonetheless.”

A fourth condemnation: Rousey retweeted a video claiming a conspiracy existed regarding the Sandy Hook massacre, the one legitimate point Salon makes … except that this is the same rag that floated the idea that a conspiracy among neo-cons led to 9/11.

Salon concludes: “Rousey isn’t a hero. Ronda Rousey isn’t a role model. Ronda Rousey beats people up in a cage. Let’s not pretend she does more than that.”

Here’s a deal for Salon: We won’t pretend that Rousey, “does more than that,” and you don’t pretend that a man is a woman.

Is that too hard?
