On Saturday, alt-right leader and Nazi sympathizer Richard Spencer got glitter-bombed by leftists in Washington D.C. while he protested President Trump’s decision to bomb a Syrian airfield last week. According to the “Anti-Fascist News“, Spencer attempted to bring the anti-war Left to join members of the alt-right who had come to protest U.S. intervention in Syria. However, protesters organized by the socialist One People’s Project began to protest Spencer and his alt-right cohorts.
Once the Left’s protesters outnumbered the alt-right demonstration, Spencer attempted to leave the scene by entering a cab. However, leftists pulled him out of the cab, punched him, and glitter-bombed him. After Spencer entered the cab, the cab driver left the car, forcing Spencer to flee the scene on foot.

The author of the “Anti-Fascist News” piece wrote the following in response to Spencer’s event:
The Alt Right seems unwilling to understand that just because they oppose Syrian intervention for nationalist reasons, they are not going to find allies on the anti-war left. Militant anti-fascist resistance has been firmed up in the country, and no one is going to give them an inch.
Ironically, the self-proclaimed “anti-fascist resistance” acted like brown shirts by physically battering Spencer and his allies while they were exercising their First Amendment right to peaceably assemble. Regardless of your opinions on Spencer and the alt-right, he has a right to speak his mind and has the right not to be victimized by left-wing fascists. Nobody has a right to punch Nazis, Nazi sympathizers, leftists, or anyone else simply because someone disagrees with them.
