Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went to war with each other Monday night after Boebert took a shot at Greene during an interview.

Boebert brought up Greene’s past anti-Semitic conspiracy theories when asked if she agreed with Greene’s support for making House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) the next speaker of the House.

“Well, you know, I’ve been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in,” Boebert said. “I don’t believe in this just like, I don’t believe in Russian space lasers, Jewish space lasers, and all of this.”

When asked if she was a hard “no” against McCarthy, Boebert said, “No, I’m just saying we need to actually have an inside conversation and make sure that these promises are there.”

“I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert,” Greene responded. “President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes.”

“She gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite,” Greene continued.

“The country is facing extremely difficult times,” Greene concluded. “Americans expect conservative fighters like us to work together to Save America and that is the only mission I’m 100% devoted to, not high school drama and media sound bites. Save America! Defeat the Democrats!”

The petty squabble between the two comes as McCarthy tries to lock up becoming House Speaker in January.

Standing in his way is a small group who have come out publicly against McCarthy, including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT), and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ).

Several other Republicans have raised concerns or have not yet committed, including Rep. Scott Perry (R-CA), Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), Rep.-elect Eli Crane (R-AZ), and Rep.-elect Andy Ogles (R-TN).

One Republican source on Capitol Hill who spoke with The Daily Wire on Thursday afternoon said that the main reason that the 12 House Republicans were opposing McCarthy was mostly because they wanted attention or they held some sort of a personal grievance that was small compared to the matter at hand.

“Too many career politicians have used the America First movement as a springboard to ‘Me First,’” said a senior Trump World official. “This entire effort isn’t about policy or principle, it’s about a small group of politicians wanting the limelight at the expense of the movement.”
